Hey everyone, I have just added shoot out lights into my game from the community guide, and I have filled a whole room with them. I have problems with them though, as some lights will not turn off after being activated, and also, they only actvate while you are in a certain area, and there is no plrdistwithin=x or plrdistfurther command that I coult find in the shootout script. Has anybody else got this problem, and can anybody help please?
Thanks.

There is a limit to the number of dynamic lights that can be "on" at one time. This is a DirectX limitation and has been here since the beginning. FPSC chooses the lights closest to the player to be the ones that are "on". And I believe the "cap" for this is 8 or so lights.

I would need to see your script if I am to help you. I couldn't make an accurate guess without seeing how you've set them up.

I just used the shootout light script from inside the Community Guide.

Are you attaching the script to the light source entity or the light itself? Those scripts need to be attached to the entity, so that they can detect being shot.

I don't have FPSC installed, I don't have the community guide sitting in front of me, so I cannot see your script. Please post the script.

It's all attached to the light entity. I just copied the lights and the entities after making and testing the first one, then I gave them all individual names (triple checked). But my OS went corrupt and I couldnt reinstall the factory image so I am going to send it back in under repairs, so I cant post the script sorry.
If anybody who stops by can post the script it will be appreciated.
Thanks.
