A simple little game based on a C64 favorite of mine.
Converted to 3D using DBC - Enhanced.
It may still have a few bugs, but I was surprised at the performance.

People will be willing to download and comment if you have screen shots, and making the link click able would be easier than copy and pasting it.

I tried it out, though, and I have suggestions. Either get rid of or make it possible to skip those ads at the beginning of the game, they are very annoying. Also, the controls for the helicopter need work; I died several times before even lifting off the ship.

ok this is an update that fixes some annomilies ....
The game can be gotten from my website via the link below.

ADDS???
I have those there for a few reasons ....
DBC takes time to create a world, load the matrixes,
load and place all the objects and so on .....
Each "add" has a time link (5 secs) to be displayed.
If the add is visible longer than that, its because
DBC is "busy" and the add hides all the level creations.

OK, I replaced those splash screens with something a little more usefull .....

The controls for the helicopter are designed to be tricky ...
or the game would be too easy.

After a few crashes, you can get the hang of it. The hardest part
is actually landing.

The Battleship has 2 major weaknesses ... I don't think I'll correct them unless too many people find them.

This update makes the game much harder because the battleship gets built much faster.

Theres some good stuff here, but overall it is a bit too frustrating to play, or too hard or something.
It's very anoying that the controls aren't given in the game. I loaded it once, watched the helicopter jibber off the carrier a few times as i tried to suss out the controls, then it unloads without an option to retry, which would be OK if the loading wasn't so long.
I'd say when the game starts, have it automatically pause, showing the controls, and ask for the player to press a key to continue, and have a button dedicated to toggling an instructions overlay.
Also, you should look into using mipmapping.
I think i encountered a bug. I died a long way from the carrier, and when the next helicopter "launched", the camera kind of dropped into the water or something, and the controls didn't work.
Promising start though.

You'll be able to click on this someday.

thanks for testing.
I should have thought of the "retry" option.
I knew that. "kicks self in the head"
Also, the controls are displayed if you press the F1 key.

for other that what a quick start at this ....
the main controls are WASD like a FPS game

also the Up/Down/Left/Right arrow keys do stuff to,
just not exactly what you expect.

WASD is for moving and turning,
Arrow keys are for Pitch and Roll

Control key shoots
Shift key drops bombs

<> for slower/faster

I'll see if I can set the game to reload .....
I thought the game was too easy to play

OH, the mouse does the same as the arrow keys
Also, a joystick works too

It's cool that you're providing clear instructions. I should have another go at playing this in a bit. Nice battleship BTW.

Haven't had a chance to play this yet, but it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Nice remake of Raid Over Bungling Bay.

It is super-hard, though. The original game was hard too, but it was 2D so you could shoot enemy jets if you needed to. This is just impossible.

So I'd recommend you make it easier, in steering and in hitting jet fighters. Not sure how you could go about that, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!
