Hi guys, it's been a while since we've done this, but Rick and Lee have kindly agreed to do another Q&A session on IRC on Wednesday night (26th September) at 9.30pm (UK time).
The channel will be moderated so that Lee and Rick can talk freely without getting interrupted, and questions will be submitted via either an irc bot or website beforehand (we haven't decided yet which, details will be posted here).

For people interested, the irc network is irc.devhat.net. We haven't decided on the channel it will be held in, but most of us hang around in #lobby.

We hope to see you there

For those interested, the time-zone specified is:
BST (British Summer Time): GMT +1 hour

Check your offset here.

For those of us in Sydney, Australia, that's at 6:30am... Anyone willing to get up at that un-godly hour?

I assume that a log will be made, as usual?

Most of the time i'm up then, but only because of the RWC (Rugby World Cup). Hang on.... school...

That's it, i'm taking the day off school.

Halo 3 came out today in AUS too, time to go grab my pre-ordered legendary edition. ($200)

Veron,
I read on Kotaku that the special edition cases have a badly designed clasp for holding the discs in, so most are arriving badly scratched from moving around in the case!

If that happens, i'm getting my $200 back. As long as the helmet isn't damaged though, i'm happy.

What is the point in the helmet? You can't wear it on Halloween.

For everybody looking for an easy way to get to IRC, at the top right corner of this forum is a drop-down box, and there's an IRC link near the bottom of the list.

Hi guys, here's an update.
The questions will be asked by use of a bot which will be hanging out in #darkbasic before Rick and Lee are around. To add questions, you can PM the bot !ask <insert question here>, and it will be stored for later. When the session begins, the entire channel will be muted so there wont be anarchy when Rick and Lee are trying to answer the questions. They'll then be able to use the bot to retrieve the questions, and answer them at their own pace. The bot will still be able to take questions up until they decide enough questions have been asked.
The bot itself will start taking questions at around 8 o clock (British Standard Time). If you need any help, there will be plenty of us around who can instruct you.

Ok, questions are now being taken. Just a quick recap, you can join using the dropdown at the top right of the forum and selecting IRC.

You will automatically join #darkbasic which is where the chat will be held. To change your username, type in /nick <username>. To add questions, PM questionbot and do !ask <question>. If you're having any problems, just ask in the chat and we will be happy to help

The Q&A Session is going to start soon, Lee and Rick are already there, we're just holding on for anyone else wanting to join. Questions will still be taken for a while longer after the chat has started

If you'd like to chat in both #lobby and watch the Q+A in #darkbasic at the same time, it'd be better to use the client at: http://www.devhat.net/irc-chat simply type the following commands when the applet connects:

/nick ChooseANickName
/join #lobby
/join #darkbasic

one after the other, replacing ChooseANickName with what you want to be seen as by other chatters

Thanks, that was great guys.

Do you recon it would be possible if at the convention we could do something like that again, (where people submit questions), but someone actually interviews Lee face to face and then Youtubes it?

Leeds Railway station is accessible from many places, and is a 10 minute bus ride from the venue.

It's now on a "check availability as they arrive" process. Day delegates are fine, rooms have to be checked for availability. But in th eworst case scenario, there is plenty of other accommodation in the area.

Note the word "Possibility".This means that while they might implement vehicles in a later version or as an update/upgrade to FPSC x10.It won't be in the version that they are planning on releasing.
I wanted to make that very clear before the x10 board exploded into a wild party.

Very informative Q & A...lot's of interesting stuff.

Please have mercy and use the search function.
