Well, here is my final -
Since it has no eyes, the topasarurus uses sonar to "see". The yellow cone is where it emits it's sound, and the disk is where it sees if the sound came back, and from what direction, thereby signaling it of an object nearby. And BTW the disk forms a sphere when the top is spinning.

And as you can see, it is camofluaged. This means that most of it is black except for somethings that emit sound. And of course, since it is black, it absorbs most of the sound comming towards it so as to keep itself from being located by other "tops".

(And if you can't see the disk, it is on top of the yellow cone.

Dont vote for me. Ive forfitted, didn't realize the characters couldnt resemble a human. If a mod wants to remove this entire post thats fine but Im not. Always nice to have people see your hard work.

If this is late just delete my post, no worries.

Didn't have time to texture or rig the guy, started last night . But the mesh is done. If I get some time tonight Ill try to texture him before tomorrow and post up a final render, otherwise this'll be my entry:



Fire extinguisher and Ban Hammer on back, glue stick in holster on side, flame retardant Kevlar vest, sticky post-its on shoulder for easy access, backpack to carry laptop and other tech-like things that I didnt bother modeling.

Here's my final image! My species is a space-faring, jellyfish-like alien. Rather than swimming through water, they glide through outer-space. I kept the main model lowpoly, and rendered a smoothed copy just for kicks. Enjoy!

Well, I vote for Agent Dink. He really tried to do an Alien Lifeform that doesn't resemble anything "earthly" and also it's not a "monster" just somehting alien.
