Barricade - a puzzle game

Final Version

This game was the only one entered in The EXTREME Graphics Makeover Contest: Entry Thread, so by default it was the winner.

The aim is to move the character to the end of the level, navigating through obstacles which are in your way to reach the level's exit.

The current download is for the game WITHOUT the new graphics, the game with the new graphics will be uploaded on the 31st (my brithday! ). So be sure to check back then.

I would like to give a big thank you to David Gervais for creating the new graphics because he has created awesome graphics and gave great ideas on how to improve the engine, even though he was busy with other projects. So:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

(Not sure whether this goes in PA or WIP, seeming as the final version isn't uploaded yet.)

Yay, I have beaten Barricade

Cool game, can't wait to see it with new graphics. Levels are good, you should have save option and displaying number of carrots would be nice too.

David Gervais, the TILE KING, comes through again. If I ever do a tile based game I'm going to beg for his help.

I'm not a real programmer but I play one with DBPro!

@tiresius

It was fake 2D. It used planes instead of sprites so it was easy to switch from the planes to cubes.

He sure is the tile king!

@MaRo

Thanks for playing

wow, that looks awesome
will try it now, feedback later

/edit:
impressive graphics makeover, i bet it would have won the competition, if there were other entries
The game is fun, but too short and too easy imo

@Valle: Thanks for compliments, the game is very easy since I fail at creating puzzles and short because I had to rush to finish it since I was quite busy during the middle part of summer and had to finish the game up in around a day and a half.

It's a fun game with excellent graphics. It's very repetitive, but there's not really anything else to add that you didn't already do. And I couldn't figure out that one puzzle near the end where you start surrounded by boxes

I have beaten barricade! Good stuff. Looks great, played well, and it's fun too!

There's something in this room that makes you can't speak well.
