The DBPro Save Object and/or Load Object appear to be incorectly saving and/or loading a .DBO object. When a .DBO object is loaded all child limbs are missing their parent relationship. The sample code is posted below. + Code Snippet Note:Matrix1's Commands used to get the .dbo Hierarchy Custom, intel 3.0GHz Hyper Threaded,3GB RAM,ATI X1500 256mb, WindowsXP DBpro v7.4 Synergy The coffee is lovely dark and deep, and I have code to write before I sleep. |

Well after a little work I found a work around, but there should not have to be a work around. This should be a HIGH Priority Bug. We had to find a work around, needed it for new Game Editor that can be hooked up to any engine written in DBpro. We are creating the editor in a C# Dll.I wonder if anybody is reading this post. + Code Snippet Custom, intel 3.0GHz Hyper Threaded,3GB RAM,ATI X1500 256mb, WindowsXP DBpro v7.4 Synergy The coffee is lovely dark and deep, and I have code to write before I sleep. |

Yes. You say you have a workaround. Is the workaround simply the addition of the following line? + Code Snippet If so what plugin does that command belong to? Incidentally, loaded X files have always had their limb naming messed up in DBPro (if I recall correctly). Does that simple workaround solve that too? Do the objects behave correctly, i.e. is it just the limb naming/heirarchy that's wrong? I haven't tested your code yet - busy at the moment, but will try it later and report back, but can't test the workaround. |

Yes the command "SD Repair Hierarchy" is in a dll of ours that we are working on for our Game Editor. As we come across bugs in DBpro we are writting new commands to fix the problems. Yes it also fixes any object loaded and then the limbs behave correctly. We reassigned the parent relationships with the command. We will release the DLL ASAP Here. Thanks for the conformation.
