Create a map in FPS Creator based on the theme of this competition. Then, walk around in your environment and take several screenshots; capturing the atmosphere of your scene. Out of those pictures, pick your best 5, crop them to 800x600, and then upload them to this thread to show off your photography talent! The most professionally captured scene and presented album will win!

This Month’s Theme
Horror/Indoors

Deadline
May 14th, 2010

Guidelines
Participants may only submit one album into the competition. That album must contain exactly 5 images, cropped at 800x600 pixels in size, and posted in proper format. (See the second post at MBD for an example of proper album formatting, and a valid entry submission)

Weapons, NPCS, or any other dynamic entities or events are not allowed to be featured in your photo album. You’re photographing the still environment; not an unfolding battle scene.

Photo manipulation effects are allowed, and encouraged.

FPSC X10 will be allowed, and mods are also allowed.

Commentary under each photograph is also acceptable.

All valid entries must be submitted on the Molten Byte Design Forums. Click HERE for the link to the thread.

$15 Amazon Gift Card
Choice of 2 Models from Kravenwolf’s GCS Account
An Exclusive Music Pack from Gunn3r

Thanks for the early interest! I just wanted to let you guys know that I updated that thread on Molten Byte Design with the sample entry. The screenshots used are unedited and are not part of this genre, but it was more of a sample for layout purposes.

I love this kind of comp but I don't have FPSC setup on anything right now. I'll be watching and I hope this turns into a regular thing.

We have our first valid entry! Thanks, Gutsplatt, for the first entry. Hopefully we get to see more before the May 14th deadline. It's a great (and fairly easy) way to get a $15 gift card for practically anything.

Unfortunately, no, as this is more of a photo album. The shots are supposed to be static geometry, so there would be no need for a gif animation.

And as a huge thank you for the milestone we just reached (MBD Forums just hit 1000 posts), I'm making an exclusive music pack for the winner of this competition.

Since I've seen pieces of dead bodies in other screens, I'll allow entire dead bodies to be photographed as well.

This contest was featured in the May Newsletter! Thanks to the TGC Newsletter team for giving this a bit of recognition. Hopefully that brings in a couple more entries. Remember, you have 10 days left to submit your entry, and everyone who enters gets something, so there really is no downside to trying!

That's it for entries! The contest is now officially closed. Over the next couple days, I'll console with the other judges to see who the winner is, and the prizes will be distributed accordingly. Thank you to all our participants, and you will definitely see another contest here in the future.

After much deliberation, I've decided on a winner for this month's FPSC contest.

The winner of the $15 Gift Card to Amazon, as well as 2 free models from Kravenwolf's GCS Account is....

Zay333

Thank you to everyone who entered, and the prizes will be dispersed throughout the week. Stay tuned for our next competition, which we'll start up on MBD soon.

The way the Amazon gift card works is I send a code from Amazon that you redeem during checkout. This code will pay for $15 USD of your bill. The code is yours to do with it what you want. For instance, you could even give away the code again, providing that you don't use it. Again, everyone will receive their prizes during this week.

But what if I spend 12$ of the Gift Card, are those remaining 3$ wasted?
And what about postage cost, does the card cover that too?

The card will cover postage/shipping too. And you can use it multiple times. Say you only spend $4 with shipping (If you buy something for $0.01 with $3.99 shipping), you'll still have $11 to use.

Contact Kravenwolf about his models. Unfortunately, I don't have the authority to say exactly when you'll get your models, but he should be in touch with you shortly and get your models to you soon.
