You would be bound to a wheelchair for the rest of you`re entire life.
You`ve been assigned to a mental hospital after you`re first try to kill yourself.
One of the Therapists, Doctor Van Wargen, had understanding and compassion for you. He gave you an Injection that killed you. You`ve been euthanised. The Doctor did everything necessary so It would look like a suicide.

Patient Shaun Randall: Suicide - Died 21 January 1965

In that sleep of death...what dreams may come?

Quote: " "Should 64-bit W7 cause problems?""

Yes, it's a bug caused by Win7 SP1 that was fixed by Lee some time ago, here's how to fix this problem:

Quote: " "You have to replace the "Main.exe" with this executable: http://bit.ly/iv7cBh (Download is 2.19 MB in size).

1) Delete "Main.exe" in your Euthanasia folder
2) Move "FPSC-Game.exe" from the archive into the Euthanasia folder
3) Rename "FPSC-Game.exe" to "Main.exe"
4) Just start the game via the launcher, or by launching "Main.exe" directly""

Added by Doomster

Please make sure to read the readme and all .txt files.

If you want to host the game, please drop me a mail.

If you have problems or if you're stuck in the game. The readme provides a little walkthrough.

Recommended System requirements

A dual or even better a quad core CPU. I'm sorry but this game might lag at singlecore systems or crash. A good Pentium 4 should run it though.

A graphics card. Minimum Nvidia 7+ Series or similar ATI card. I would recommend Video Memory of at least 256 MB

2 Gig Ram Minimum

1,25 Gigabyte free hard disk space.

@all: I just did a fix for the crashes. Its uploading now

EDIT: Patch can be downloaded here

First Post updated

*********** Installation **********
Copy the folder into your euthanasia install folder. Make sure it replaces all the relevant files. Let it overwrite (click "yes to all")
*********** Important ***********
This patch adds working savegames for every level, so if you are stuck or something goes wrong, you can simply load the next level. ********** Changes **********
This Patch deletes Level 4 and 9. It sadly wasn't possible to keep these levels in the game, they where simply too large and they did overload the system memory (The engine tends to do that). Sadly this ruined one of the most beautiful and the most important level of the game. One of the levels featured handdrawn painting by me, a mirror you could jump through into an old fashioned room and creepy lightmapping. The other one was very important for the story,

Played up to level three.

I thought you did an excellent job with the atmosphere--it feels ominous. The whispering voices in the soundtrack reminded me a bit of Quake 1, and works well.

Just a personal choice, but I would have liked a custom message at doors that need a key (mainly in the first level), just so I got a better sense of direction in the level. That's just a minor point.

The later levels sound very interesting as well, so hope you rebuild it to get them working.

The game ROCKS! I had so much fun playing this. It was creepy, the design was awesome, the lighting was suberb and you get some extra points for calling one of the levels "Undertow". But there was some problem:
Some objects had the stock WW2 deadbolt (I think it was deadbolt) door shader. And there was some black walls and flooor pieces in teh second level, didn't see them anymore in any of the other levels. SPOILER: And the first Dante you encounter, starts running after you when you are behind the door before it, making it run into the room you are in and when you get out of that room, it starts running towards the wall, so that it can't chase you... SPOILER ENDS!

But didn't see anything else apart from that. IT was some very good job, except that the doors could have used a "E" hud too, I didn't know when they were fake, opened with switches or keys and when they bugged so that they didn't open the first time, I ran around looking for a key or a switch. But awesome anyways! Keep it up! And loved the artwork that came with it.

@MD132: Ah! Thanks for the review!!

"Undertow" wasn't related to the tool songs...it means "to drag below" ("Sog" in german) and was referred to Shaun's death. The Tool Album is still cool anyway

Did you finnish the whole game?

Yeah, I know, just as a Tool fan, I can't help but thinking that :-P

Quote: "Did you finnish the whole game?"

Yes, I did. And I must say, it got scarier, the closer you were to teh ending. This was actually one of the rare times I was actually kinda scared of zombies... and the Nameless were terrifying the first time.

But I played it yesterday night again (wasn't a good idea, almost lost my sleep) and I ran into a new bug: There was a couple of shroudlings that were invisible, so I just started getting hurt out of nowhere and I was like, what the hell, then I started shooting around and saaw blood coming out of thin air and when I killed it, it's body flashed for a second and disappeared...

But one thing I forgot give you props for, were the jumping and landing sounds: I was able to jump without getting annoyed of the "HYP!" sound

I heard one should email to Thraxas but I haven't seen him a while on the boards. Anyone have any idea?
