I get a magazine called 'Retro Gamer' every month which is about past computers (Spectrum, BBC Micro, NES...) and in last month's they had an article on game creation tools and there was a lengthy article with Lee Bamber about DarkBasic and FPSC.

Imagine my surprise when my game Get Out! was reviewed!

Also, a big well done to Lewis as well as his game Alpha Project was also featured.

I'm guessing that issue will be wrapped in cellophane and put in the safe? Very cool indeed!

I'm trying to run the game from the link in the first post (I don't have the .fpm anymore) but AVG is telling me there's a virus and FPSC stops working. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes,AVG spammed me with "trojans" from DBPro temporary files. I just disabled it and went for a play, works fine.

I remember playing this when you released it, and indeed you did do an excellent job! The atmosphere was great. Congrats, that's very exciting! Well deserved

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

No problems running the game here with Microsoft Security Essentials.

That's awesome Nickydude - I love Retro Gamer, I always pick up a copy when I'm at Barnes & Nobles.

Is anybody not seeing the scanned image in the first post?

Would someone be kind enough to video a playthrough if they could? I still can't get it to work and I think I might redo it bigger and better but I can't remember how it was.

I gave it a try, but my Fraps does not seem to want to record sound. And audio plays such an important role in this

Hey Nickydude. Cool. I downloaded the game and am able to play it.

Yes, the music makes the game as well as the ambiance. There was one point where the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end.

BTW, when you say play through do you mean the whole game. I probably won't be able to do that but I can give you some Bits and Pieces by Dave Clark 5.

Same actually, with continuous new model packs, shaders, all the talk and brilliant work as of late involved in making the engine better and opening up our doors for new opportunities...I feel as though along the way I lost the idea of just trying to make a little game. Something simple and fun to play. Thanks for this!

By the way, if you do get back into the program heavily, even if it's just a level...seeing something from He Is Coming would be a treat

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.
