There's been LOADS of discussions on this before, and the answer is: No. Unless you want to re-code the whole engine of course. "I guarantee you'll miss me, 'cause you changed the way you kissed me." www.youtube.com/TheDarkFrager Spare 2 seconds of your life and subscribe to me please. |

Everyone's been wondering how its possible that i'd be in the mac OS at school working on FPSC... how did I do this? By using a remote on my computer at home, logged in from the Mac. That's the only way :/ So you'd still need a PC ultimately. |

You can run fpsc on Mac. Install Bootcamp on your Mac. Then Install Windows 7 on the Mac. Use Bootcamp to start up Windows 7. Download/Install FPSC while in Windows and youre done. Ive also read on forums that of loads of people Play the PC version of Skyrim on their Macs this way too. Artrift.com - Digital Art Community | MyPixelbox.net - My Creative Blog |

This is the typical response. That may work however expect a magnitude of problems. Crashing, glitches, errors I can already see that. It's usually never stable or safe to do this and is highly not recommended. However I heard of people getting good results with this and WINE. Still, would be easier to just buy a PC. But I do vote for a MAC version of the software as it's sorta unfair that people have to resort to using bootcamp or WINE then buying Windows. Not right now it's not possible. Nor would it work on any other console. Maybe not now or anytime soon, but perhaps someday... Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650, Nvidia Gefocre GTX 560 OC 1024MB, 8192MB RAM, Nforce 780i, Windows 7 Home Premium x64 |

Quote: "anyway would'nt it work for XBOX if their was a FPSC to XNA converter?"
Such an idea doesn't really make much sense, considering FPSC is an entire engine and XNA is something else completely. What needs to be done is the entire engine would have to be rewritten, or at least the DBPro compiler and any DLL's the engine uses. Alternately one could write a program to convert the game files to a format that could be understood by another engine. It wouldn't yield quite the same results (since the engine would probably work completely different) but you could have the same assets. Quote: "You can run fpsc on Mac"
Essentially this isn't running FPSC on your Mac, it's running it on Windows. |

hey landman, dont break a war, does faster than you imagine^^ nonono, mac is okay for those who want to use ... this ... ah, i cant!^^ i think when you want to get a multiplattform-engine, you have to pay much more than 20 bucks as you do for fpsc, simply because development is much more expensive. and i dont want to pay more for plattforms i dont use. |
