Good day all,

After mulling over a few ideas, here is my current entry for the TGC Nexus competition.

SpaceCrash - Pod Rescue

A simple game increasingly difficult....

- You are in a rescue pod escaping from a space station going through a labyrinth of structures, debris and lasers (!).

- The single level is increasingly complex and speed will increase slowly as you progress. Setup as a finite but loopable scene, you will eventually come back to the same place, but with higher speed

-Choose wisely - an array of bonuses will give you more points while giving you the means to clear the way in places to facilitate navigation including: laser, small impactors, and shield.

- Online Highscores will be provided (thanks to Phaelax)

- I will be releasing a beta for testing shortly once the bulk is in there.

In the meantime, more below:

And a quick video...a bit slow and choppy due to the screen capture...working well and smoothly on all the android devices at hand..

That's it for today..

Cheers,

Tokidokee

Looking great - as always!

It played pretty good too!

If you need any help with the Ads and high-score - let me know

Thanks Ched, I may take up your offer.

Things have been progressing well, although I have spent a day and a half sorting out a very annoying bug...(I use SetViewOffset for the level and did not realise this had to be reset to see the menu screen...)

I will probably release a beta towards the end of the week for testing.

I'm sure that won't be the last annoying bug

I've attached my Holey Cow! source code - you'll find all the Advert and High-Score stuff in there. Both are contained in their own agc files, but i've included everything so you can see where and how I use it.

Thanks Ched, that's great...will make sure you are properly credited for that code in the "About" section ...

...always interesting to see somebody else way of coding...

Here is an update
[href]LyxqqqH_6XQ[/href]

Now with specific settings for phone or tablets/PC e.g. zoom and GUI size.

Bonuses are in !, all for a max of 3 seconds- Accessed by pressing the large (on phone) right button
- Lightning Strike - Explode a wide area in front
- Side Speed up - Go Quicker sideways
- Small Lightning Bolt - Fire and forget - Middle scale damage
- Slow Down -Slow down the speed momentarily
- Shield - Go through anything, but don't get caught out in impossible places !

Lightning Strike

Explosion

Shield

The game starts at a slow pace and speeds up regularly.
Since the world comes back on itself, the decisions you take at each turn (to blow things up - or not) will make your life more of less difficult the next time round...

- Music and sounds are in
- All animated bonuses completed
- Touch or Keyboard play

Left to do:
- Setup screen for various volumes
- Highscores
