Beta is now closed (actually has been for a few days).
Thanks to everyone who participated we now have an even more polished game!

We've submitted to the App Store with an anticipated release fate of August 8 on the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon. We've decided to make an ad-free version available on Amazon for $0.99 (mainly because I haven't figured out how to switch over the IAP system yet). We're also releasing Windows and Mac versions through Amazon.

While you wait, here's our promotional video!

Finally getting around to posting my comments.
First of all, the graphics work well with it, it's fairly smooth, but it's got one critical bug (that's probably limited to my model of phone, or maybe my brand). The level selection buttons don't work. I can press them (and it plays the SFX), but it won't open to level. I've had this problem before with AppGameKit on my phone, the problem is with the GetPointer commands. When you call GetPointerReleased(), GetPointerX/Y have reset to 0,0.
The other buttons work properly.

That's pretty odd, but good to know.
What kind of phone do you have that exhibits this issue?
The buttons require scrolling so I need to use the GetPointerReleased command in there. Unfortunately without a device like yours to test I'm afraid this will be a pretty bad issue.
Please let me know the device you're using and I'll see if I can get my hands on one to replicate the problem. That is an extremely critical AppGameKit bug.

It's a Huawei Ascend Y201. The problem is easilyish fixed like this:

Another fix I've found is to use the Multitouch commands instead of GetPointer commands.

The weird part is that it sill plays the sound and depressed the button, so obviously it's detecting the event, but not acting on it.

It's detecting, but it checks on release to see if you've moved more than a certain percentage (I think like 5%) then it cancels the selection process. I'll work on converting to touch commands.
Gald you let me know, for now I'm blocking Hauwei. I don't need bad reviews because of such a horrible bug!
Would you be available to help with some testing this week?

Yep, that'll be fine.

For some more info: On release, it moves the listview up by about one pixel.

Sent you an email, hopefully you have a chance to check it out soon.
I apparently shut off the touch input and forgot to switch it back on because it was working

Just got a chance to play this, it's allot of fun and I actually prefer just using colors instead of numbers. I've completed beginner and moving on up. I was afraid there would only be 10 or so levels per diff, I'm glad that I discovered there are 460. This'll keep me busy when I get bored or am waiting on something/one.

Glad you like it Moondog!
We defaulted to colors to try to give folks a newer experience and surprisingly the vast majority are playing with colors only.
We're also likely adding a storyline to the game as it has been requested a couple of times and we think it makes good sense.

Please share with your friends

Finishing up the Japanese and Korean translations this week and then it's off to work on the story line a few have suggested.

I find Sudoku and puzzle games in general to be a waste of my time. My time is limited and I do not want to spend it solving puzzles. So it doesn't really matter what you do with the game, I have already tried Sudoku and I do not find it entertaining. The game looks very well made and solid. If I was into Sudoku or puzzle games I would surely love it.

I've also been asked to do a podcast with Steve Ruduski (www.thecompanybard.com) about game development in general, and Sudoku In Space. Should be fun!

Another great review of Sudoku In Space
http://www.in-our-spare-time.com/sudoku-space-app/

The iOS update containing Spanish, Korean, and Japanese is still in the oven. We had to make some last minute changes to the ad network to comply with iOS 8 so lost our spot in the queue.

Recorded the podcast with Steve Ruduski, it should air early October.

Cheers!

SiS is now on GetJar and Opera Mobile Store
We're trying out some alternative stores as they seem to perform just as good, if not better, than Google Play. GetJar is pretty neat as you can just link to the Google Play store. Approved just an hour or two ago and already 10 downloads.

Sweet!
We just got featured in the #1 spot on SlideME
We've already had over 700 downloads (many fewer registered installs) from there in the past 10 days!
I hope the momentum keeps up!

About 50% done with story mode, additional free puzzles, paid puzzle packs, and some extra features. I really just have to code some more stuff in and finish the artwork for the final scene of the story (art is sooo hard).

Cheers and thanks for playing!

I'm working on it! Just need to quit getting side tracked on making games better

I've got 4 published and 4 in the pipeline now, with a bunch of other prototypes just itching to be made into full games. If I could just get really good and fast at art or find someone who is affordable then I could crank 'em out once a month!
