AppGameKit Classic Chat / "Joystick" (Gamepad) Input on Mac

Hi all,

I have been playing around with using my Xbox 360 controller with AppGameKit on my Mac. I have installed a driver for Mac that is working great--I have tested it with a few games.

The controller works great in emulated Windows, but if I run the Mac interpreter and "broadcast" (locally) to that, it doesn't detect any input. It DOES, however, detect when the gamepad is present.

How is the controller implemented in AppGameKit? Is it through DirectX, and therefore not available on Mac? (I doubt this is the issue, as the "joystick" is correctly detected as being present or not, even on Mac.)

I would hate to support gamepads on Windows and not Mac...

Anyone have any experience with this? Any thoughts on why the gamepad might be detected, but no input is received? Paul?

Still can't seem to get this working... Is this a bug, or are these input methods not implemented in AppGameKit for Mac... or?

Hi, no idea about this as I don't have a Mac, sorry.

I'm guessing you've tried the GetRawJoystick... and the universal joystick commands. It sounds like a proper bug so it might be worth emailing Paul directly.

Hi, thanks 29 games!

I've tried all of the input commands and can't get any response. The only one that is properly returning data is the GetRawJoystickExists(int) command.
