AppGameKit Classic Chat / GetRawKeyPressed does not work if PhotoShop is opened?

I have the following line in my code if GetRawKeyPressed( 27 )=1 then End which works fine if PhotoShop isn't open. If I have PhotoShop (version CS2) running then the GetRawKeyPressed() stops working! Windows Version 8.1

seems PhotoShop catch the key event.
is there a hotkey on ps you can remove?
