There are many modeling programs that will export .obj files of 3D models.
I can recommend Wings3D which is free.

ob2 is my format.... there is 2 ways of making them, 1 with agk_sm3d app that i posted here in the forum... the second way is manualy creating an animated model and saving it out as an ob2 file using my included functions for animations.

if these dont work well for ya you will need to wait for tgc's 3d animation to be finished. This code is basicaly simular to darkbasic classic where you can link objects as limbs and animate them.
