I was wondering when you'd get this released. The page doesn't seem to load though for some reason.

Your site doesn't work in Firefox, which leads me to believe you didn't use web standards... I vote for a redesign!

It works.
And if it doesn't, then use IE.

good work. keep it up.

1.what if i want to show the grasses bitween 100 to 200 (distance)?
so i can have high poly models in 0 to 100 and low poly models in 100 to 200?

2.it looks my compiler is a little slower and the program
runs a little slower too! (after using the plug-in!)

3.when i change the transparency number to 4 (for the trees) the transparency for the grasses changes to 4 too! (but it shouldn't)

4.it would be very great if the planes were pointed to the camera not only camera aligned (maybe another type for the plug-in)

5.it would be very beautiful if the grasses could fade in and out (they look flashing sometimes)

btw, i got about 30 FPS on my P4 AMD 2000+, 512 ram, GeForce 5200Fx. (gr=1000)

sorry for my bad english.

with all ie's security holes - no thanks, generally if it doesn't display properly in firefox i won't visit the site - if they can't be bothered to make it using standards they obviously don't want people to use their site, standards are there for a reason.

Just as long as it works with IE. I don't care what standards it uses I never could get Fire Fox to work with most pages I visit.

[edit] Just finished downloading and ran it. Great job!

Very nice!

But more adjustment on distance 1...1000 !

And what about random height with same plant. Easy way to get more variation on scenery.

He gave you the source for that demo. You should be able to adjust that. Though there are no help files to confirm this and the .ini needs to be modified to this

To work with all IDEs as Blue IDE doesn't like == between them.

Very nice. It runs really fast compared to some of the foilage techniques I've seen in other engines. My only complaint is the way the grass comes into memory (It just pops up, it doesn't fade in). A question about your site: what in the world does that power button do? It doesn't seem to do anything.

Very nice plugin !! but there are some strange troubles with the distance (I just downloaded the demo...) : setting the distance to 50 or 100 just doesn't change anything... Any explanation ? Maybe a too limited number of plains ?

Cheers

I've got only one question:

I know it goes in the plugins-user folder, but where does the .ini go? does it stay in the same folder with the dll or do I move it elsewhere?

@ Monster,

Looking forward to an update on DBpro grass plugin...

Also, looking at your website, what is BVH converter?, is it a standalone converter? or a plug-in for 3ds Max? What exactly does it do.... ?

This is looking really cool!

"-Advanced terrain support
-Place grass at any model
-Distance fading"

Once all that is in and you can make the radius far bigger then it'll be perfect!

I would really like to use this in Quikly 3d Game Pro when its finished if thats ok? I'd happily give you a free copy and mention you in credits etc.... let me know Either way really looking forward to the new version
