It's become a habit for us in the #coding room to have small competitions, where we end up making some very nice things. We're currently compiling a list of ideas for the compo. So far we have:

To connect to #coding, direct your irc client to beer.darkbasicnet.info, the room being #coding. If you don't have an irc client, then get one!
http://www.hydrairc.com/ - Perfectly good free irc client.

Toodles!

Well, that would be good, and strangely fitting, but the site that they were kept on was down within a few hours of the compo ending. Airc is on aura.dbspot.com, but that's the new version, which isn't actually usable as it's not finished. I'll quickly make it usable and upload it in a minute though.

Better make that a few hours.

Infact, screw it, I'm hungry. Just get Hydra.

I like the idea of creating a game in less than a certain crampy size, but the EXE size has to count too or people will start abusing the inline data thingies.

This will be taking place next weekend, so you have plenty of time to submit your ideas, and buy some red bull.

I added my input... Don't know what anyone thinks of it, I went into the IRC twice and it was about as lively as a steaming pile of... freshly ironed clothes

How about a game that has an octopus king in it, hiring people.

Just as a note, the proper IRC link would be irc.devhat.net

i believe the .info is about to become expired.

It's good to know people from France named Benji never post after Mouse's posts commenting on his post.

Oh... maybe they do. I don't know, I was just caught up in the smells and posted without really thinking...

Now I feel sheepish.

I'm currently lacking in the sanity department (i.e., Mad), will that do?!

Hey all,

I made a few requests, and got no replies, so, no prizes once again. Oh well.

Voting will start in half an hour, that being 12:00 AM GMT. Thanks to Moggie100 for setting that up.

Six and a half hours of voting left people. We've decided to have the compo start as soon as voting ends, and then have the compo end in exactly a week from then.

Due to an annoyingly equal count of votes for two entries, I'm going to have to extend the voting period.
