Whilst there may still be a small gathering in the midst of the Chichester cobbled streets, I came, I saw, I survived! And despite British Rail's best efforts to make me miss my connections, a quick sprint across the streets of London Town thwarted their best attempts!

It was a good weekend, and I look forward to finding out whether Lee managed to surface before the sun set on Sunday afternoon.

There will be some good photos in the next couple of days, some of which may need censoring (although I won't mention Lagmaster as that would be unfair...oops!)

Wolf turned up as promised, making it a truly international affair. He's probably approaching the coast of America as I type.

And there is also some good info on Darkbasic coming up in the next couple of weeks. Lee treated us to a fantastic demo of node tree optimisation, lightmapped levels and other clever jiggery pokery. And all while suffering the Mother of All Hangovers
Mike also showed us some fab stuff on upcoming products. If you missed the con, you missed out...for a short while at least.

Thanks to Squidgy for putting on a good weekend, complete with curly sandwiches

Yes he did

I hope everyone one found it interesting - unfortunately the main bit cant be discussed yet.

However, we did point out various bugs to Mike, and showed off what we had done.

Moggie won the coding competiton and thus had a fun time travelling with a nice heavy set of books.

Now, for next years one (if there is one), Lagmaster may be able to perform the hosting duties near London (if the price is right), if not, then I may - although it may not be at The Ship hotel.

We may also be looking for a June/July convention next time, with a revised pricing structure.

I survive the DBPro convention, and all I got was a modified signature...

Oi! You lot! I was waiting for a convention thread with updates every few hours

I expect a full write up,

edit: Just seen the pics. I seems there's a distinctly more sombre atmosphere here than last time. Last time I remember seeing a few young(ish) people. The clientele this time look, shall I say, scary

http://www.lagmaster.net/con2005/lagsdigi/

Aaah, jetlag going westwards. The best type you can have. You have up before everybody else (good when you're a tourist), and go to sleep at 7pm. Brill.

It's a killer going east though

We're (or rather Lagmaster is), going to research whether it would be better (pricewise) doing it near London...

I hope you all enjoyed it, and maybe there may be one in 6 months or so, whereapon more people will be able to come.

I very much doubt that having one near London will make it cheaper ... except maybe for travel.

Up north, Blackpool maybe, that would be cheaper and a hell of lot of fun!

I was think Manchester, but yes, cheap, grimy, artery-clogging, vomit-inducing Blackpool would actually be a good idea! You can't beat it every once in a while.

For those of you who missed it, there was a slight delay whilst waiting for Lee to surface after a heavy night of Guinness Consumption. Scraggle entertained the crowd, and the other guests of the hotel with his David Brent Dancing Impression....

Mmmm....Leeds and Manchester could be considered. Manchester and possibly Leeds would probably guarantee Mnemonix, Lee, Mike, Scraggle, Me, possibly Rick V(!), and several other Lancastrian and Tyke forum dwellers. It also makes it infinitely more accessible to anyone North of the border.

It took me 2 hours to get from Leeds to London by train, and 3.5 hours more to get to Chichester! So anyone between London and Leeds is within range.

scraggle just had a great sense of humour, he noticed me holding the digi cam then looked like he was in the middle of something

it was a great weekend, it was entertaining listening to what lee had to say as with anyone who talked. dont worry we sort of talked about the sea of bugs, things that may be happening in the future and how to sort of make everyone happy. we suggested some pretty nifty things.

now to *cough* try out some freebies and watch banned videos

But for the rest of the country Chichester is... like... as far away as possible

Bring it to Manchester. We have a nice airport, and if you time it well enough we could all go to a footie match at Old Trafford

...and triple the cost of the trip!!!

It would be nice to have it more central, but Squidgy does a good job that would be hard to match. Laptops...networking...projector...food...Orange Juice at £50 per jug*

Topical joke, Philip offered several times to buy a jug of orange from me for £50, but we couldn't come to an amicable agreement. I wanted £70
