Yeah, there will be a demo, containing 2-3 chapters of the game, one of the multiplayer modes and at least one of the cutscenes.

And a small pic from a secret passage during the last level with a "crossover" flair dedicated to a game made by some friends of us...

this game looks great.
One thing though...
It looks a little thrown together. There's alot of contrast on each screenshot.

Hmmm...nice lights.

your game looks like it's coming on great by the way I have just released my game I know it's probably rubbish compared to yours but I would really like to know what other Cthulhu fans think of it

@small fish:

I D/L and played your game, here my feedback:

Graphics, textures e.t.c. are average, but the game itself is great because your way of storytelling contributes to a great "H.P. Lovecraft Feeling", that`s the way I had our game in mind, too. I also loved the mini-cutscenes with the animated Screenshots and your usage of sound effects (Thunder).

Good work at all!

LOL, it`s indeed an organic spaceship, being examinated (or perhapes repaired) by strange machines in the abandoned "World of the Others", where Anderson fights the last (?) battle for mankind.

By the way, these are only the small vessels, fat mama can be viewed here:

Although you`ll have to repair (feed) & fly one of the smaller drones in order to escape, there is only one way to experience these organic ships in real Space Action:

Take a look at the game, it`s the answer to all the prayers from Elite Fans...

I´m still here, we are working on the Gold Master version at the moment and it`s quite stressy

The voice overs from the studio have arrived, Disturbing 13 is hopefully working on a little animation issue and we`re doing the last LD polishing and balancing.

However, we are now not only Level-complete, but also feature complete. And we managed to get one of these organic spaceships working as flyable vehicle for the player, what was also quite some work.

ne, JoWooD je tady v Rakousku! Ale ja budu zavolat CD Projekt jestli to budou prodat doma

I guess the game will be sold all over the world, I haven`t all informations right here, but I`ve been told that Atari will distribute it in France, Pinnacle in UK and so on...

Dreamcatcher will take care about US and Canada, and it will be avalaible in the leading games-on-demand online stores, too.

"It`s not available in my country" won`t be a valid excuse for pirating this one ^^

Do you speak/write to public that is create in FPSC. To bych nerikal.
Last post in czech:
Srry, teda v Rakousku. Nechci se do toho michat, ale protoze je to uz citit screenama (v FPSC je to dost dobry) budget, koupil bych si to asi max. za tri stovky.

@Johny English - Je to budget produkce, 300 korun, to asi bude opravdu ta cena. Okolem 10 do 15 €...

@Deathead: Yes of course, but not alone - we had a team consisting of enthusiastic filmmakers, including Gerhard Daurer, the director of "Game of Life". But I played one of the roles myself, and so did the product manager, and the Art Director...

Please tell me you did that through a script and not by editing the source! I've been trying to do that for ages, and i'll I could get was left, right, up and down. I couldn't get forwards and backwards to work.

Wow this has got be excited

Yes, it`s a stunning primitive script.

Basically not more than:

and so on for each direction.

And we had exactely the same problem you described, until we turned physics off for the entity

But we discovered a few points to take care off: It works best when the "cockpit" of the entity is so built that the player can enter it crouched and stand inside normal, but cannot leave it without crouching again. So he / she can`t be pushed out of the vessel by its movement. And of course its better if you link the rotation key to the player so, that he rotates exactely the same way as the vessel does.

And it didn`t work with any model, some dived down through the floor, some didn`t take one particular direction.

Wow, I don't know why I haven't been keeping up with this one. It's amazing and wonderful to know that it's made with FPSC. With your permission, I would love to link to your game site and post some of these pictures in our fpsFREE.com gallery.

Thanks for showing us what's possible.

Best.

Today I talked with a mate from the business about Anderson, and he asked me if it`s gonna be an adventure like "Myth", because you see no fights or enemies on my screens. Having thought about that, I came to the conclusion that we have indeed few screens with gihting scenes, because our testers are pressing the screenshot hotkey when they are exploring the landscape isntead of thinking about it in the heat of the battle.

Allright:

Anderson is an adventure, but it contains shooter parts in EACH chapter.

There are fights, and you CAN be killed. In fact, you WILL be killed:

Anderson & The Legacy of Cthulhu

Some of these shots have nice lighting in them, lots of nice stark shadows, just wondering, is this using the dark lights that come with fpsc, or have you exported the game out and added your own lightmaps in another program.

It`s "Soft Lightmapping" from version 1.04

But we put a lot of work and thoughts in placing the light sources, three team members of us (including me) are working on that, and we calculate the effects and ranges of the lights together with the likely cast of shadows in some of the rooms with architecture software prior to adjusting the settings in FPSC Editor.

If I were going to join a team it would probably be yours dude, this is some excellent work from you guy's.
I am kind of new to this game creation thing and still learning, which I do with most of my spare time,I work freelance and teach a bit,so I am real busy sometimes and couldn't commit to a team.
I also have my own game to complete,I started so I'll finish, but I learn as I go along. When I have a better handle on all this stuff I may take it more seriously, for now it's all a game

Hehe, you`re a little bit right - in terms of Quality, Atmosphere and Story, we want to match (at least) Call of Cthulhu, and "Anderson II - Rise of Ry`leh" (if we get it going) would be something like "The Secret World", but no way MMOG, instead pure Horror closer to HPL.

I would hate to see such excellent work enmeshed in some sort of copyright dispute but you should check carefully before you go to "press":

http://www.hplovecraft.com/writings/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._P._Lovecraft#Intellectual_property

Arkham house has been VERY protective of the works and some other gaming interests have bought copyrights to phrases, especially the "Call of Cthullu".

Don`t fear, man, don`t fear, we`ve written a complete new novel based upon HPL without having too close ties to the copyrighted material.

In Addition to that, we`ve established a cooperation with Pegasus, the German Licensee of "Call of Cthulhu".

Ertlov, I'll give you 20 beers () if you post that vehicle script....... actually.... 50 beers..... 100 beers.... Heck I could do 1000 beers if you like.
And you get 2000 if you supply a simple model that your script actually works with.

BTW - here a small pic from the final version being built right now (out of 45 Gigabytes of total Developement Data), nothing special, a very plain shot from the "boring" levels playing on earth before our hero...

GM building at the moment + 2 days for getting the menu and installer going + 3 days stripping down to demo size +2 days demo testing - well I guess in two weeks the demo could be ready for public, but a German SI magazine will get the first one exclusively for 1 week, then we`ll give it to the public.
