Cool windmill! I think I'll download it and add it into my game, because it's so good.

Here's the windmill zip. The cap of the mill has it's own axis so it can be rotated to face the wind like a real windmill. It's group name is CAP. If you do a limb search in DBP you should be able to figure out which limb to yrotate to get it to move. Also "set object speed" of 5 or 10 in DBP is just about right for the sail rotation.
Does anyone have a suggestion or a request for my next model?

@ Violent Pigeon

Here's the wall parts you wanted. Sorry it took me so long to get them together. The texture sizes are 1024x1024. There is enough detail in them, you could probably reduce them down as small as 256x256 without loosing too much.

Here is another suggestion for you. You could make an abandoned stable sort of like (an old farm house). That's if you wanted.

HOw do you do the UV images so that they look right?

@ Stig Design Stig Magne
Models are license/credit free. Do whatever you plese with them. No need to give me credit if you use them in a game. You can even modify them if you want. The only thing I ask, is DO NOT claim that you made them or sell them. If I find someone doing that I will NEVER give away another model, and that would be unfair to all the HONEST people that use my models.

As for my textures, I create them. Quite a few of them start from a photo. I have a 10 megapixel camera that I take everywhere I go. If I see something that would make a good texture, I snap a few shots. I then use photoshop and gimp to make the texture look like I want it. http://www.cgtextures.com/ is a great texture photo site to get you started, if you don't have a good camera.

I agree with Stig Design, there are people out there like that. I would say in everymodel, especially the castle, I would put like your name and stuff, small, but so that no one can steal it, like have a painting that says-

Made by Spotaru.

That isn't the best way, but it would stop a lot of people from stealing your amazing designs.

@ programing maniac
The pic of your human is a little to dark for me to see the detail, so I don't know how to help you. Don't know how to help with the map either, 'cuz I rarely use blender. I use ultimate unwrap pro to uv map with, if I need it. I build most of my models with 3D Canvas, (one of the most unpopular programs on this entire forum). But it has some of the best texturing of any program I've ever seen. For instance, the windmill model is not uv mapped. I just picked the textures and painted them on. I own dozens of 3D modelers, I even have 3DS Max, but I still like 3DC better than all of them. If you want to make movies or high poly Max and others are great, but for games and low poly, they are just overkill.
Sorry I couldn't be more help to you.

No problem, I know the man was dark, It was the only picture I had of him at hand. Blender is really good at the modeling, but once you want to color the stuff, it stincks. Also, when you export it, you don't even GET the textures...

I am used to blender, so I am fine with it. Blender may be EXTREMELY complicated, but once you get used to it, IT IS AMAZING!!!!!

What is the code for texturing the castle? When I load it into DBC it becomes all white.

load object "castle.x", 1
load image "castle.jpg", 1
texture object 1,1

That is actuall code just replace the object and skin with the appropriate name.

I'm pretty sure that will not work because the castle has 23 different textures. I couldn't get the detail I wanted with a single uv map, unless it was the size of a house. I don't use DBC, so I'm not sure how you would do it. In DBPro you just load the model and the textures are automatically applied. Hopefully a DBC user can answer that question. Maybe someone on the DBC board can answer.

Were you reading the thread at all? He said that you can use the models for free, and you don't have to put him in the credits. However, you cannot say that you created the models yourself.

I got tired of buildings, so I went back to my favorite things to model. Space stuff! I WILL NOT give this model away. I am using it in a project of my own. Here is a shot of my space station. Comments are welcome, so I can improve on the model.

That is really nice! I wish I could Texture as well as you. Everytime i try to texture something with UV mapping, I never know which part is which, so I end up coloring the feet so they look like eyes, the eyes to look like feet.

Is there a trick to your textureing?

Looks like a great model. Shame you're not giving this one away, I could certainly use it in 'Roughnecks'. Not to worry, you've been more than generous with your previous models.

Quote: "Comments are welcome, so I can improve on the model."

The only thing I could suggest to improve it is to make it look like it is in use with a few lights. At the moment it looks a bit 'dead'. The model is great but I think the addition of a glow texture helps a lot.

The lights look great Scraggle! Unfortunately I don't have a renerer capable of doing glow textures or shaders at the moment. I used to have 3ds max, but someone broke into my house and stole the pc that it was on, and I can't find my installation disk. I presently only have XSI mod tool and crappy old PovRay to render with. I haven't hade modtool long enough to figure out how to use it yet.
Anyway, I have a new free model that someone may be interested in. It's a treasure chest. This one is only static, but I'm working on one that has a lid that can be opened. Here's a shot of the chest. The chest looks similar to the one in the book "3D Game Textures", by Luke Ahearn. But I asure you, it IS NOT his model or texture. I was following one of the tutorials in the book on texturing UV maps, and decided that I would build a similar model, uv map it and use my own map with his tutorial. By the way, if anyone that can't texture wants to learn more about it, that is an incredible book.

Nothing in particular, to be honest, just little widgets and gizmos that add into a level's sci-fi feel......miscellanious stuff, like machinery and technological stuff.......

I don't really have a particular want really, and I don't want to bother you with my requests......

I'm currently working on a free Sci-Fi container pack. There are seven different containers in the pack. Here's a pic of the two that are textured so far. Both are about 50 polys each. Textures are 512. I'll post the pack when I complete the other textures.
