DANG IT LEE! RELEASE THE SOURCE CODE! Sorry, it's just that it would be nice to have the most up to date version of the source s we get all the extra scripting commands, etc.

If A=B and B=C, are people still stupid?

Headshots would be nice. Lee needs to release the new source. Like as soon as V1.14 is out. Hopefully the migration code will be out at some point as well; imagine dual bazookas with ragdoll .

I have a quick question about Ply's Mod V1.07 that isn't in the readme. How do I go back to single weapon wielding while in dual-wielding mode? There must be a way. Could someone please help me by telling me what I should do to go "out of" dual-wield while in game?

BTW: Thank you for reading my post, and hopefully you can assist me.

To put away your left handed weapon, press ctrl+0. To put away your right handed weapon, press 0.

Just for this reason I need to learn scripting. I like the Decal Over-Ride

Decal Over-Ride is something I need to learn how to do. If you plan on using this mod, you need to learn scripting. Get FPI Editpad from the link in Ply's sig and download the Ply's Mod and Airmod update. That makes scripting so much easier; you don't have to memorize an endless list of commands.

I like memorizing command personally, it teaches me to be less dependent on programs and tuts, though I still use FPI Language tut occaisionally, or check other scripts to see if I'm using commands properly

I gots to learn decal override, it looks like epic win of fps gaming...

Off topic, I just realized that if I ever get mp 9/10, I will throw a custom muzzleflash on the fist and have the firing sound be "FALCON PUNCH"

I, for one, need to look at commands all the time. I can never remember how I spell things or what words I used for things, etc... so EditPad makes for a great friend since it highlights words and has an easy lookup interface.

Well, you only have to memorize the front end of the Mod, I gotta remember both the front and the back... and the back takes priority.

Ply's Mod V1.07 is only 9780 lines longer than the original V1.07 source. That also includes AirMod V0.6.

So, really... I don't FEEL like I've added a lot.

That you can. Take this for example.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5emDj5duGg

Back on topic. That's still a lot Ply. Just out of curiosity, do you know how much of that is setting up segments, entities, and 3D? Now think about what you've added; cameras, dual wielding, and an incredible ammount of scripting commands that allow people to do almost anything.
Feel better?

Some people say that I'm crazy... And I agree.

Just wanted to mention efxMod had about 12,000 lines more than the original 1.07 sourcecode...
(I used 'had' with the intention to make clear efxMod is an uninteresting subject now... am I right?)

@Replay the Master of Time:

No, the source for my Mod will not be released.
Besides, there are a lot of undocumented additions that I've made and it would probably be more confusing for you than editting the regular source. Perhaps get a handle on doing that and make your own Mod.

@Crusader:

I'm still here. It seems that when a question needs to be answered, you guys take care of it for me, so I have no need to post. Thank you, all, for that.

Huh? I still play with it from time-to-time. I'd still say it's interesting, everyone's just dissapointed that the actions of one ignorant guy who breached the licensing caused everyone else to lose the ability to develop anything with it...

@Nike:

The "exp system" is nota hard feature of the Mod. It's a system made with the Mod. You basically make a variable called "PlrEXP" that gets added to whenever the player kills something. When they get enough EXP, then you script them to "level up", which is basically just a HUD saying "Level UP" and increasing a variable called "PlrLevel" or some such. Then you can use this level variable to multiply their damage output and other things.

Scripting is everything in this Mod, so knowing how to script is practically an essential here.

@CG:

I got your email and downloaded it, but haven't had a chance to play through it. I will at some point in time, though.

oddness aside, well, that about covers it for me. Can't wait to see what comes outta your head next when you start production again.

Well, aside from a few people claiming crashes, I haven't recieved any bug reports. (Though I was promised some )

Because of this, I am going to make Beta 3 the official V1.07 of Ply's Mod.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a website up for the Mod soon so any progress can be updated there. That should also make finding anything related to the Mod much easier.

Hi every1
I encountered a problem with Ply's mod, when I test my game an error message displays at the end of the loading "Sth about encountering a problem and the program needs to close"
when I continue the game plays but when I go back to FSPC the project doesn't load again, it also appears on build game..

it's saying (Debug Info 0,0)

I noticed sth else, the problem occurs when I put a player start marker, when I removed it it worked fine

I tried it on an empty space just the basic segmant at the begining and a player start marker, same problem..

am working with ply's v1.07 and FSPC v1.09

TY

That sound like one of the problems I fixed in Beta 1. Try redownloading and reinstalling Ply's Mod using the downloa don the first post of this thread (There's only one download button there now, so grab that one. )

Ummmm, that depends on how good of a page can be made with it.

Looks like you have others keen to assist. nah 50/50, I mess around with flash when not doing the same with fpsc.
I wrote a lot of code for Darkfact's IonGFX site earlier in the year. The final product being 1 flash movie file, generating over 20 pages by user selection, Each page generating a further movie within the main page. It was something I'm not sure many would know how to edit the entire layout though. Fun however.

Have a good 1, keep up the good work.

@Bibo:

Glad to hear it's working for you now. The Mod is free to use for commercial purposes, however unless you purchase the Mod, that splashscreen and a Title Screen watermark will appear on built games.

@deca:

I'd like to chat with you about the prospect of helping me design a webpage. Flash based is fine, too. I mean, everyone has Flash nowadays.
