Nope, 2007, check the tag......

As far as I know, there isn't another CG, if there is, I'll kill him so I can keep my initials unique......

Maybe you are.......

Ok, back to development, I've scrapped the idea of Chargepacks, due to their wavering ability to actually work, so I'm gonna redesign the HUD to just sit in the corner, and not be full screen.......

I'm sorry I've been neglecting you all, but I've been testing ways of adding 2 great features into this game, firstly, I've added a difficulty select ability, (easy, normal, and hard), from the New Game thing on the Main Screen, and on the Pause Game screen too......

The second one's a secret, you'll find out when I release the demo, the problem is that the demo will be delayed because of the nature of it.....

Bad news:

@Razor

Hi, didn't expect you to post it up here......

@Gunn3r

Thanks, I just need him to add those TIGRS symbols and update the screenies on it, thne it'll be perfect......

@Pain

No problem, I'll be MIA for a bit, so I'll need you to E-Mail me them, and I can't guarantee a quick response, I'm afraid...

@Everyone Else

My PC's messed up...again.....so the fate of Izolis hangs in the balance, until I can get it to work again.....

Also, I've hired a bunch of voice actors from the Voice Acting Club, they're great guys and I've already got ost of my VA posts filled in......

I recommend them to anyone looking for people to voice-act intheir game...

Lol.......

I have new screens of level 3! I've started making the third level, and I've got a whole bunch of great guys from the VAC helping me out by giving their voices for my project......

First screen is of a now-unusable teleporter room, the power surge severely damaged this area.

I'm gonna try and rig Fletcher's Plasma Rifle with MP6 arms to use in this, along with a few of the stock sci-fi, (Tavor and maybe the Vickers)......

Enjoy, and please leave C+C....

Thnaks, the Lightmapquality was at 10 for those pic, it seems installing FPSC reverts it to that.....

I'll edit the screens with better quality ones soon, does anyone else have criticism or comments please?

The part involving the fossil-fuel crisis actually made me laugh. As well-structured as it is, it seems very exaggerated. Nonetheless, a little fiction never hurt and I'd say you're on a roll with the Alanium concept.

I guess so, we'll have an alternative fuel source by then hopefully....maybe hydrogen.....

Ah well, I guess most stories are based on a "What If X Happened...." idea, mine was that The West were arrogant about the oil crisis so much so that it was upon them before they realised.....

Well, laughter's a good thing...normally....

@Butt Monkey

Great, I look forward to testing them out....

Thanks, I've been playing around with using shaders, there's next to no frame rate decrease on my PC, (GeForce 5200 GFX Card, 2.5GB RAM, XP SP3, 2.93Ghz Processor).....

I'm getting low 30s, occasionally dipping to mid-20s in a particularly built up spot, I'm proud of the optimisations I've put into this, as it should run well on everyone else's PC 'cos their's don't suck like mine....

I need comments on this comparison between shader and non-shader, which looks better, top is shader, bottom ain't......

I like the shader one as the light seems much harder and more powerful. In the second it looks much softer. However I've noticed that the detail in the windows seems to have disappeared in the first pic so it's really up to you.

That new picture is godlike xD

I like the non-shader, it looks like the dynamic entities show up in that one, and the shader screeny looks kinda weird and washed out (it looks like the lightmapping is worse).

Looking great, man! And for your first game?! Geez!!! That's an insanely good job, mate!

On your lightmap quality:

200 is nothing, I run 1000 for my quality, it looks sick! Though idoes take a while to load... It takes about 2 minutes to load a small level.

Well, because turning shaders off seems to bring back doors and windows, I'll pick no shaders

Just for the record, the windows not appearing on shadered mode is a test game glitch. When you build the level, the windows appear with some gorgeous reflection effects, I think the default shader was "cubereflectalpha".
So yeah, I'll vote one for shaders.

Hmmm.....

Shaders: 2

Non-Shaders:2

It's close, but I've got reviews from other people on IGD and Gunn3r Games for shaders, so it looks kinda like this....

Shaders: 6-ish

Non-Shaders:2

I'll show some Built Game screenies soon, I've just got to get Ply's Mod to stop failing on me at Saving and Optimising Universe...

THanks for all the positive comments, I'm trying to get this looking as good as possible before I think of a demo, hopefuly I'll be done soon....
