Lol, I've edited it a wee bit since that pic, but I think it personally looks better....

Here's another screen, of a Slipspace Gateway, (or teleporter)...

Thank you, but I'm afaraid that might be a while off....

One more screen. This is the main combat training ground for new recruits. The freshly coagulated blood reminds you of the penalty for failure, there is no mercy in the training bots' eyes.....

For the amount of light they're putting off, the flourescent lights don't seem very well lit.

I love your level designing skills, CG. Keep up the great work!

Yeh, I'm working on making Illumination maps for the lights lol, hence my post in FPSC M&M.....

Thanks for the compliments. I haven't made much progress lately level design wise. I've mainly been scripting the gameplay stuff, and testing out other stuff like shaders, etc....

To prove I have ben hard at work, and not lating about with some cans of Coke watching Top Gear, here's some screens of my progress thus far with shaders....

This screen demonstrates dynamic light shading on characters, and refraction, yes, you heard that right, refraction!

Very nice! I don't see any refraction going on in that window though.

I'd really like to see those shaders in person... any chance you'd be willing to share?

Ply, it's the refraction shader from the Ultimate shader Pack....

I found that it scrolls the texture and kinda bends it round the illumination map, it's pretty funky....

Shaders that work in FPSC (stock FPSC), the shader cannot rely on too many open variables, such as where the camera is from it, grabbing textures, lots of nearby lights.

It really isn't that great of a shader system, but remember that it was made ~6 years ago.

Hmm, I don't get much lag with it.....

I dunno, I'll set about getting a tet done, I'm only using shaders on dynamic scenery, to offset lag, and because hardly any shaders work on static stuff....

Not really, I'm not using full shaders per se, as al static stuff will be shaderless, mainly because the shaders often work badly with DarkLights...

More or less all dynamic scenery will be shadered, but that's very little, as I don't go for the dynaimc crate spam thing, I think they look better static....

CG, are you planning on adding hands to the Vickers and the other plasma rifle? 'Cuz, having hands on some weapons (MP5 SMG) and no hands on other weapons (Vickers) is a bit... Inconsistent.

Ok, I've just finished level 2, and got it to the point where I'm pretty happy with it. So I'm opening the floor to others to get a variety of opinions...

Anyone who'd like to alpha test for me, please send me an E-Mail to coffeegrunt@gunn3rgames.net, not my Hotmail, that doesn't work right now. I'll make a shortlist of everyone who signs up for it. Remember, don't agree to this unless you know you have no other commitments that could get in the way of this...

I'lll come back to you in a week with the results.

Hey CG, would like to test for you, yet as you know a bit busy. Hit me up if your one short.
Also new screen looks good. When I read your comment I was hoping to see something like you have done, and there it was. Nice.

Keep up the good work.

*Oh and side note, thanks for your recent efforts also. I will be posting another soon.
