I can't go,.. I want you to set up a real time chat and webcam, so the rest of us can join the fun. Just don't point the cam at a life sized pic of Barry Manilow. that would be cruel and unusual punishment.

LOL

Have fun people Cheers!

I'm tempted. Have the sunday off but not the saturday. Could arrive by about mid day sunday. Is there some kind of timetable? I guess the lectures/presentations would be pretty much over by then. I'll see if i can get the saturday off too. Anyone know how much a cheap hotel costs?

Mr Tank, you would miss an awful lot by Sunday lunchtime. The last afternoon tends to be more freeflow.

I think GG and a couple of others used local hotels last year.

Don't know about Yorkshire, but I know Leeds is near Wakefield and that's in New Zealand (see map). So I guess Leeds must be a hamlet near that.

David (Gervais) you will be kind of at the conference due to me mentioning you in my talk

As far as the barry manilow thing - the camera is going to be pointed at Mike Johnson for about 7 hours on the sunday... you will be pleading for the manilow believe me!

nearly there! I'm looking forward to this year, but then I've had chance to talk to the TGC massive about their talks and plans. They all sound excited about their own stuff, which is a good sign

You would think this scheme is foolproof Mike, however Ravey has already decided to bribe people with beer to say that his talk was awesome and yours was appalling

[I must do something about my avatar. ]

According to the Convention's timetable we have a Feeback session - not a Feedback session.

But I'm more than happy for Mike and Ravey to bribe me with beer to not mention this.

Gandalf - that is completely selfish of you. The only thing you are thinking about is you drinking beer and how to get more beer for yourself... much respect

I started making a game specifically for the convention last night at about half past 9. So if it is done in time it will be a miracle.

Whoops! My post let out my little secret. We can't have that can we!

All this bribing going on is likely to cause some kind of a riot...involving Ravey no doubt.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing everybody again, and meeting the new faces too!

I so totally wanted to create a game/simulation to take to the con, but two weeks solid of partying and a number of lectures to go to have gotten in the way, of which I'm now late for my C++ lecture, so I must part. Looks like I'm gonna be turning up empty handed and just leeching info from you guys instead

Hi, I've started the process of importing the videos from DV tape and then video editing them. I'll aim to do at least one session a day and upload them as and when they are ready.

Thanks to all of the people who attended and to the various presenters. Lee managed to add a lot of new features into DBPro and he fixed some bugs too - more details on that from Lee when he's ready to share.

Special thanks to Steve and Michelle for once again organising the event.
