Here is a link for you
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=124035&b=21
I found the 1.5 to be better for frames, 1.6 dropped my frames way down from 70 down to 10.

Hi.

Ok, thanks for the information and the link. EFX mod looks like a product very interesting, with a great design. There are talented peaople, sure.

we'd love to use your product, but we can´nt. E.L.E is aimed at casual gamers, Our obsession is that it functions smoothly in mid-low pc, and bloom, depth of field, blur,etc.. These techniques demanding a high number of frames and muche more in product like fpsc x9. But this is only an opinion.

Hi Paul112, obviously you've got the spirit of E.L.E

E.L.E is an adventure, with a lot of humor, some doses of action, and with the only intention that people have fun for a while.
The main thing for us always always always will be the history.

Yes, sure, I will do tomorrow, it´s time to go home.

Yes, i guess I wasn`t misunderstood - what I wanted to say is, that ELE looks like a very UNIQUE and INTERESTING game now, while it was once considered as eyecandy only.

@ dimoxinil: Thanks for the grats

@ Paul: FPSC was never usefull for LOWER end PCs, because the engine is quite weak in handling moderate (not talking about large) polycounts

Come to where the madness is:

This looks great, hope I can play it someday!

One thing: I see some really fantastic shader effects in the video link, especially some nice specular effects on characters and certain items, that far surpass the stock shaders in X9. Are these shaders made custom by you, or does anyone know if these can be achieved with any of the current mods?

Look up the thread a bit, they are custom made shaders.

Shaders are easily one of the most important things to FPSC at this moment in time. You can't hold back a game engines progress because people still want to be able to use it on outdated hardware.

@Nomad Soul, At GG, he says that he will post several tutorials on how to get your FPSC game to look like ELE (aside from their models and theme and such).

I completely agree with your statement that shaders ARE one of the most important things to FPSC right now. FPSC hasn't gotten to the point of awesome graphics but shaders are helping out with that.

@dimoxinil, I noticed that you have water in one of your screenshots. Can you show a video of the water in action when you get some time? It looks really nice, and I wanted to see how it plays out as.

Hi.

Quote: " hope I can play it someday!"

Hi bond1, We also.

The shaders were commissioned to a freelance, I think that basically he was limited to adapt shaders to the fpsc philosophy, and to change the existence fpsc shaders.

There are people in these forums, that is doing wonders with the shaders. These shaders are better than ours, I think you should ask them, There are people with a lot of talent with the shaders, Ertlov, creator of zombies, s4real, Nighthawk, etc... (I've been watching the forums)

Quote: "Can you show a video of the water in action when you get some time?"

- Gunn3r, Yes, this is water shader that uses a simulated reflection. I try to put this week in the gunn3r fofuns, but it will be without sound.

About our menus, These are´nt videos or images in motion, These are 3d scenes animated in real time (something similar to the warcraft 3 menus).

HI Mazz426, Thanks for the encouragement. We need them.

HI Amshnock.

Quote: "Where can I buy it."

On Christmas in spain, then through electronic distribution (English version, etc...)

Quote: "How it the FPS Rate?"

Depends on the computer, but the game should work on midl-low range computers. The game will require a graphics card compatible with pixel shader 2.0

Quote: "If FPS is good how did you do it"

jejeje, Wel,l We have some trick, or not.

Thanks for your questions.

The next image will be rather special, these is a dream that has the protagonist K, and occurs in the home of the robots, we cost a lot find a appropriate desing.

So we should ignore performance updates, gameplay enhancements, and compatibility improvements for shinier surfaces? It's silly to expect someone to require an 8800 and a quad-core processor to play the sort of games FPSC produces. And gameplay > graphics.

Hi Thanks for the comments. These are very well, especially on days like today. Apparently the game is something more "violent" tham we thought, so we need to change certain aspects, like the blood color, etc... to the game fit more on the philosophy of adventure game. No problem.

Quote: "love to see awesome gameplay collide with awesome graphics."

Hi Pride, once we finish the assembly of sound on same levels, we start to put videos in youtube, in about half a month.

Hi Airslide, I´m a little scared. A 8800 and a quad-core processor is the pc that I have in the study, You're like a games Gurú.
This is one of the most important points. If you have a HI-TETCH computer, and your fpsc game runs fine, you should make sure it runs fine on minors computers, or you may find that your game only runs in a few PC´s. For example, we got to use a amd athlon at 1ghz with 512of sdram, and a ati 9600xt, for text E.l.E

Quote: "You used the bumpcubereflectalpha shader didn't you?
"

Hi First Company Veteran. Yes we use a slightly modified version of the bumpcubereflectalpha shader with the weapons, and thanks for the .

Now get the picture

Hi.

This was one of the level designs more difficult to finish, but it seems that we did fairly well. Thanks, you have helped us a lot.

Hi GP PrOdUcTiOnS, in his moments we are just too busy to finish the game, but I calculate that in a month we will be more free,(will begin the phase of testing) I will be more liberated to see what you upload. The mail is alia3d@alia3d.com (generic). If you send something I can´t see it quietly until November or earlier with some luck. Just give me a month and I'll watch carefully. Thanks.

Hi Deathead. The tables don´t appear in the final version of the game. we used to walk quickly by the level, But in the final version there will be no tables. Becase the tables are placed without attention.
Good appreciation anyway.
