digital reality is NOT a hungarian company... they're Chequesovalkian, i worked with them about 4years ago on a television advert for german TV.
Currently we reside in a modern office at Budapest, Hungary. The company has 30 employees, we have been constantly growing since 1995, when the company was founded
keyword there is CURRENTLY ... not Originally, not Always have ... just currently.
a good indication of this is the fact that over the past year thier webaddress has changed from
http://www.digitalreality.com & http://www.digitalreality.ck which is printed on the Imperium Galactica & Imperium Galactica2 boxes.
RavenStudio's currently resides in the US - that doesn't make it a US Company
Quote: "I suspect the industry is somewhat larger than your ego. I know a few female programmers and upon mentioning your name their face showed absolutely no recognition what-so-ever, sorry Raven - I guess the world doesn't revolve around you afterall."
well thats a bit of an arrogant statment isn't it.
i don't know everyone in the industry, and they don't all know me...
i might be well know but i'm not exactly a household name yet - and you have to think of how people know me.
By name? By Psudonim? By Face? By Reputation?
sure i know a fair few female programmers in/out of the industry, but it doesn't mean i know them all - i only know around 200odd, i know for a fact there's over 10,000 in the US alone working professionally. There's even more in other countries.
If perhaps i knew all of whom i did from a single area, then perhaps it would sound weird ... but really its not all that weird.
Right now i hardly stand out from the crowd other than the fact i'm 10years younger than almost everyone else at my level.
sorry but what you've said is the same as going down to london as asking women how many have slept with me... you'd have more luck throwing a penny in a merky pond and then shooting a hole directly through the middle of it on the first shot.
it ain't ego, its just pure stupidity on your part.
