I've found a few things that may need looking at:

1) Posts do not indicate that you've looked at them (ie they stay bold)
2) The number of replies is 1 too high - it includes the original post in the count

... and the most important for me ...

3) I'm listed as an advanced user and seem to have lost my mod status

[EDIT]Nice work BTW [/EDIT]

4) I've reset my timezone to GMT, and I'm 5 hours out ... I'll set it back to +5 for the moment.

The forum is too narrow for some banners and this meens at 1024 resolution I have to scroll on some messages.

This isn't really an issue with the banners because they are no wider than on other forums. It's just that there's so much junk onscreen there is not enough space left for the text.

Some solution to this really ought to be found - because screenshots are going to look terrible if we have to thumbnail and link them everytime.

I was wondering that - in the subject box it syas "<a href= " then some text next to it about adding images?

Another niggle I have is with all the menu's on the perimeter of the page, when I goto click the back button to move about the forum the menus keep opening, it's annoying and destroys the slick image of the site.

I believe an option is coming to hide/remove the side navbar.

Another possible solution though: instead of having it open OnMouseOver, use OnMouseClick

And is it my imagination or is posting (and the re-display) a lot slower - probably all the graphics...

but not being able to easily see which threads have new posts is certainly going to make me skip threads now and again, this definately needs to be fixed

Some comments:

1) The HTML thing in the subject is fixed.

2) "I don't think the Time Offset is working either." - works fine, prove otherwise!

3) "No more link to the current section" - ?? what's the "current section"? If you use the "Top" icon it takes you to the start of the board you're in, if you use the "Home" one you get to the board choice page. What more do you need?

4) common.php error = me uploading new version!

5) "'Thats better'" heh, my soundex is too strict, have increased the percentage now. It only happens on short posts when the string count is too close to a swear word/phrase.

6) "New Posts don't show" - no, but they will. I'm adding a "mark all as read" option, when ready the new posts will show properly.

7) "must be all the new graphics" - doubt it, the forum is almost 100% CSS with no actual graphics other than the smiley faces and a background table. More likely all the bloody images posted as signatures I might disallow that.

8) "or is posting (and the re-display) a lot slower" - it's your imagination, it's significantly faster and I've benchmarked it as such. Posting + redisplay would take approx. 3 seconds before, now it takes 0.04 - see for yourself, hover your mouse over the Apollo logo on any page.

9) "Every post says its been edited" - ah, will sort that. I already fixed that once but god knows how it's back. Will look at it now.

Ok that's it for now. I'll sticky this topic, keep posting bugs ANYWHERE on the site if you find them please.

Cheers,

Rich

Okay, well let's test it right now, my Time Offset is set to +10 (Sydney) which is my timezone and so technically this post should say 11:00pm for me. Let's see.

Keep getting a lot of PHP errors :

Parse error: parse error in /u2/www/users/pairdoor/tgc/modules/apollo/includes/apollo_misc.php on line 44

Ok go to say the team requests boards and type 'apollo' or something in the search box. Then for some reason it says 'There are no posts in this Board yet, why not be the first? '

Am I the only one that the website menus annoy?

I mean,I don't wanna sound a nitpick(although I know I probably will) but I don't usually keep an eye on the cursor ALL the time so it happens often that I just hover on them and open the dang thing garhhhh...

Anyways, don't mind me Rich.Just rantful as usual I still think they look great anyways.

1. "my Time Offset is set to +10 (Sydney)"

The Server isn't on GMT though. I need to change what it says in the time offset drop down so it doesn't have the country next to it.

In all fairness on the page you change this it does say "The Server Time is" under the offset, but I don't think anyone read it

You're adding 10 to EDT, not GMT. So technically it does work, it's just not explained correctly.

2. "Keep getting a lot of PHP errors"

I need to know what you're doing when it happens to debug this. Does everyone get it, is it just in one place, etc?

3. "the forum considers the first post of each thread a Reply."

Fixed.

4. "left hand nav"

I will add an option to slimline the forum for lower-res users which will remove the left nav and make the font size one px size smaller, this should cram more posts on the screen. The actual icons etc are a lot small in height than the old forum! But I'll put this option into forum prefs anyway.

Keep posting things, can't fix 'em if I don't know about them.

Cheers,

Rich

Long post tiles are taking up a lot of room on the last post section
The forum name and description is forced to wrap and becomes about 10 lines long.

Not a forum bug but.

Here is a really annoying bug : When I switch between windows (and the Forum is one of them), the forum doesn't stay maximized, it gets smaller.

In all fairness it doesn't actually SAY that the offset is from the server time, it just tells us what the server time is. Add the fact that every other forum uses the GMT Offset doesn't help the matter, you guys just have to be different

Anyway, 'fixed' I guess.

Edit: And it might be a wiser option to list the current times in the drop down box for those that aren't as good as Math. Or maybe even automatically subtract the EDT Offset from the GMT entered.
