Yeah, I've run the cleaner. I'll try to recreate the map myself and see if it's a specific entity/segment that causing the problems for me.

EDIT

It's all good now. It was a 'picnic' error

Just downloaded the V1.3b demo. Not bad at all! Framerates are WAAAY better than I expected! Excellent Work Knxrb! Bravo!

P.S.- Do I edit the range of the flashlight with state= in the script? Let's say state=5 for example...

I asked that very flashlight question myself to knxrb today and his reply was..

Quote: "The range of the flashlight can be set yourself using the 'flashlightrange=X' command.
I can however make a flashlight power command if needed.

First off, I would like to say I LOVE your mod.

But, there are a few bugs.

The first bug I am encountering is with the water. Whenever I try to use the water, I get a error that says: "Runtime Error 105 - File does not exist at line 15666" I went into the folder to see if it was a problem with the water file itself, and when I tried to open the RWaves file I got another error stating: "There was an unspecified error when opening this file". I'm guessing there is a problem with this file (lol) and yes I did try and download the new files you put up, but they didn't work either.

The second bug I have is when I try to use bloom and a weapon the bloom basically goes crazy and I can't see anything (See picture) but when I don't use a weapon it works fine.

Thanks in advance, ZackS28

@ZackS28: I'll get them fixed ASAP, thanks for letting me know.

@Stephen: I've got your email and I'm trying to get through everyone and send their copies, it shouldn't be long now.
Just been a bit busy with something that's happening to Horror Mod soon.

Also:
Horror Mod is now for sale, you can find more details here:
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=162601&b=21

If you have already purchased Horror Mod but have not received it yet then you will receive it before the transaction is made so don't worry about that.

Got the same problems as ZackS28
Here's an image:

The file seems to be damaged. Maybe you can simply add a fixed one as single download? I mean, you can't steal Horror Mod with that image

And, additionally, my game runs much too fast. I'm having about 90-100 fps, but while the player is running through the level with about lightspeed, the framerate kinda gets stuck every second for a few milliseconds, so it's very annoying - impossible to make a game with that.

Can't get bloom to work well, looks much too strong with command bloom=1:

And I got no skybox at all.

Well... hope that you can help me out ... I think I'll have to go back to previous version of Horror Mod otherwise

Use the other bloom commands to fine-tune it.

Quote: "I'm having about 90-100 fps"

It's capped at 60 FPS

Also try the atatched images for the water and just to let you know now; if the images do work but you cannot see the water (even after moving it up and down) then that will be because it uses shader model 3.0. I do however have alternative water in the works for those with sm 2.0.

Here's an image with no bloom, although the image itself is a bit blurry (JPG), you can see that I have 93 fps. That's average

Thanks for the images, but what's the use of water if you can't see it?

Anyway, I could use Horror Mod without water and just with bloom, but the framerate is killing me

Quote: "Use the other bloom commands to fine-tune it."

Where can I look them up?

EDIT: Thanks for you quick support by the way!

The help files.

Quote: "but what's the use of water if you can't see it"

You'll see it if you have sm 3, and it's also why I have alternative water in the works.

And that framerate is very strange Are you pressing any of the buttons that change the frame cap? I think it's 'u' or 'o' or a key near there.

Stupid me. Of course

Quote: "Are you pressing any of the buttons that change the frame cap? I think it's 'u' or 'o' or a key near there."

No.

When I press 't', the framerate drops to 43, but runs very smooth and doesn't get stuck anymore. Whenever I run the game from start I'm back at 93 fps.

EDIT: Gotto go off-line now for about an hour or two now.

Pressing U and X uncaps framerate, pressing T caps it again, AFAIK its capped when you build the game, just press T whenever you test.

Thanks for your idea.

knxrb is there maybe any way I can change the fps cap manually?

I guess no?

EDIT: When I pick up a sci-fi gun other than blaster, the bloom fills the full screen and I can't see anything unless I shoot.
Going back now to previous HM

Hey knxrb

I've made some more experiments. To keep it short and not kinda "overpost" this thread although I need support, I've made a short list of the bugs I experience:

* Since matchtype=0 in buildsetup.ini framerate is perfectly at 65 fps
* Guns with shaders cause an overbloomed screen
* All guns reload twice as fast as they should (standard and modelpacks)
* Player Tracer Bullets are always grey (enemy bullets are perfect)
* No Skybox when Bloom is on

Don't ask me how I came to putting matchtype=0 into buildsetup.ini I'm working on a multiplayer title (or telling myself I am) Anway, since I did this, the framrate is at 65 fps, simply perfect, also for singleplayer.

Please let me know whether you get anything out of this list what might be wrong. Especially that turbo-gun-reload is confusing.

Thank you.

EDIT: It seems I now get 65 frames displayed and it runs smoother, but I am still running on higher framerate than 65 (would explain turbo-reload). Might be something timerbased and not a cap-problem?

Knxrb did say that he had a lot to do, which is why he's selling the mod. Still though, a week is a long time, I thought he had simplified the registration procedure just recently to make it quicker?
