...yes john, scripts are in every mod

A script mod is when it focuses on additional script commands.

No, they use functions inside the .exe. If the other mod does not have that exact function, then it will not work. Thats the best I can explain it.

When you swap out the exe, that's the compiled source, which contains all of the additional code added by the modder.

Did you think about my requests?

Well, I suggest getting bugs out before adding new stuff which may break other stuff.

John, seriously man, just stop.

How many mods have you asked to merge? Really, it's not your choice.

-kerrby, well there were some people who wanted apple mod, and a few who wanted horror mod etc, so i dont think it was rude to ask if he would like to see what the average mod user would want

it seems you added a default light, while in fact you would need a light pointing forward. This is more of a torch/gaslamp light. However, good work non the less.

A point light IS a default light, it will lighten up everything in a certain radius.

Well, a proper pixel based spotlight is only truly viable through use of a shader. The hardware spotlights are vertex based and look just god awful.

Erm, he could add prone himself without too much effort. Just look into the crouch code, and edit that

In my opinion you should avoid pointlessly merging with something unless you really don't have a choice. It's a pain in the ass to get it all together, and sometimes the other mods will require to make yours free/paid.

Also, I seriously doubt he has any features that you can't add on your own if you wanted to.

True, and even when that's added a Flashlight in FPSC would look horrible... You'd need dynamic shadows all over the level instead of Lightmaps, otherwise shadows from objects will never dissapear when you enlighten it. It'll just look silly. HOWEVER it IS a start.

It's not the world that turns against you, it's you that turns against the world.

Well I can add most off the features (i already know how to do prone) and i really want my mod to be free but i want the features of stealth mod but don't want to be accused of "stealing".

You could just ask if he's OK with you adding some of his features, instead of Merging. If not, that just shows how greedy he is. People should be free to add their own versions of ideas to their own mods, as long as they do not directly steal the code for it from the other developper.

It's not the world that turns against you, it's you that turns against the world.

Which is really hard to do when you've seen the source of just about every other Mod.

Yeah, but it'd be a pain in ht eass to go through and add everything twice, especially with large features.

OR he could just release fenix free and have a Stealth-Fenix Bundled/merged Mod for 8 Dollers.

OR merge/intergrate them and then take out some features that you would not want to include in the free. Than you would save the dbo in another folder so a free and pro versions would be available.

Whatever the case im sure they'll make the right decision

Isn't that exactly what scorpion said. lol :p

Hi, it’s Robert with Stealthmod! You’ll be saying Stealth every time you use this mod! It’s like CoD! It’s like L4D! It’s like BioShock. A regular mod doesn’t work good – this works good and great.

Combine that with the Editor source code, and you've got directional lighting!

This is a very impressive Mod hockeykid; my hat goes off to you. Merging with Stealt Mod may be one of the best routes to take at this point. No matter what you decide, I'm sure the Mod will be a success.

Best,
Crusader2

New Commands

newdamage=x -changes the current gun out damage to x
newfirerate=x -changes the current gun out fire rate to x
newsimplezoom=x -changes the current gun out simple zoom to x
newreloadqty=x -changes the current gun out reload quantity to x
newrange=x -changes the current gun out range to x

Beta Release

The link to the download is on the first post. The beta comes with 3 pre made scripts, fadecorpseHeadshot.fpi (goes on an entities destroy slot. Entity must be using appearwithheadshot.fpi in start slot),Third Person.fpi (Still a WIP, attach the script to the desired characters main script slot), and body.fpi (gives the player legs, attach to the desired entities main script slot).

Yes I only made 3 scripts for the beta but it still has all the other features that I have announced.

Please report any bugs! and feel free to post some C&C
