dates show
7.December.2011
27.November.2011
The years are wrong 2010

Bump, again with more screenshots showcasing the segments in real maps:

Quote: "Maybe you should also have a donation jar"

Model Maker has a donate button included in the About dialog, and both the SGLauncher and Model Maker threads share one as well.

Quote: "I have found some very bad miss types on your website"

Indeed, I kinda have a hand for typos, it seems. Have been corrected.

Thanks, glad to hear that. I'll probably release more packs at some point, but right now, there's none planned - however, this one wasn't planned either but rather happened. So, who knows when another one pops up!

Hello Doomster. I am interested in purchasing this pack, but I want to know if you can please specify what kind of entities are included on it.

Also, amazing work on this. I look forward to have a copy of it.

The Hitchhiker.

Edit: Editing just to say that I bought it finally this friday and I really felt like I will never have to deal with segments again.

Thank you Doomster, keep up the good work.

Thanks, pleased to hear that!

Quote: "only problem is i do not have any shader fx at all?"

The shader update requires FPS Creator 1.17 or higher, "Full Shader Effects on" has to be activated and bond1's Normal Mapping Shader has to be located within the effectbank.

Both, segments and entities, use the default path, which are:

Quote: "effectbank\ps_3_0entities\static\norm_alphaspec_tangentbasis.fx"

and

Quote: "effectbank\ps_3_0\segments\norm_spec_tangentbasis.fx"

If you don't yet have these shaders, you can find them here: Bond1 Shader Pack complete [v1.0].

Received with thanks.

One thing I've noticed is that dynamic lighting doesn't seem to show. I'm trying to create a flickering ceiling light and when I try the light doesn't show in a room made with your segments, but in a room made with default (ww2) segments (on the same map) the flickering light works fine.

How do I get a flickering light using your segments?

Edit:

I've also noticed that some of the door textures are a little too large.

Alright, found the problems.

Quote: "How do I get a flickering light using your segments?"

Without the shader update, flickering lights work directly out of the box.

However, when using the shader update, the newest revision of bond1's Normal Mapping shader needs to be "installed", since older versions don't have support for dynamic lighting.

Replacing the shaders with these newest files should solve this: bond1_segment_normalmapping_June2011.zip.

Quote: "I've also noticed that some of the door textures are a little too large."

This seems to be related to the height of floors; the doors aren't above the floor, but sunk in them, thus a small part is not visible and gives the impression that the door textures are too large.

I'll adjust the doors and mail the update.

Quote: "are all of the segments in this pack supossed to be shader ready"

Every segment (except the doors) should be shader-ready after installing the update; I'll have a look at the files and see if I find missing segments. Thanks for reporting.

Quote: "Any news on the doors?"

I'm finishing the update up right now, the download will be sent today.

Quote: "Can it be used in a commerical project?"

Yes!

Edit: Phew, sent the update to everyone.

Hey,

haven't seen a post from you in a while; cool to see that you're still around and using the FPSC.

Part 1 & Part 2 are sold as one pack and make up Doomster's Pack #1, so both parts together cost ~3.50$ currently.

Edit: Just checked, you have already purchased this pack. So, you already have Part 2.

No, no, you don't have to pay again, of course. If you ever lose the download link / can't access the old one, just send a mail and it will be resent, without any additional cost.

Weird! Have you changed any values in your setup.ini or made changes to the doors? Already checked if the FPE files of the doors are still there? No idea how they could disappear out of the blue.

Replied.
