@chafari

things happen
even when you think you got every thing
there is always some thing else

out all the forum free bee's
I've only got dll that dose not work
I know what the problem is but there are few choices replace the dll that might be the problem , run a reg cleaning program which could cause more
problems or reinstall , for the most part I can live with how things are

with all that I have to put back in it would take a week to re set things up
so living with out one dll is no biggy

as for f ing .... not with giving it a second thought or a third

is there a "CreatingACharacter_4of5avi" showing up ?

I did a complete reinstall after removing previous stuff
it ask for registration stuff but other than that every thing runs fine
no glitches found so far

I'm still bit lost on how to fully use

I know I asked something like this before
but it would be nice to have a text either about the button when you move the mouse cursor over it or have it show up at the bottom of the screen

I kinda suffer from a short term memory thing and referring back to either the
help or the video is a pain

umm one more bug
the undo button resides the screen back to original size
when I want it to be full screen

it would also be nice to have the help menu full screen
not that it covers every thing at this point as it's more of telling
what option the program has

I want to create a large bus to be included so others can have

I know this will take me longer to do then with one of the 3d programs I have
since I am not fully familiar with the using Model Prop's

But I thought I would get into it since I have time now ;O)

I'll try to update the editor tonight and i will post back when done.

@Resourceful This help system is soo unique that you will understand this editor in minutes unlike any other editor and will never need to resort to the help system or videos...lol

no mouse over help file
but my windows has problem with a dll so that could be affecting it

I got 4 wheel created and the main body for the bus
but now I need to increase the number of vertex and have no idea how

ya ok you say so but know what buttons do what would be nice

never mind I got the vertex editing part

I had turned a box into a rectangle but
when I went into the vertex tool it was turned back into a box

not amused

the camera thing needs to be fixed the limited version is garbage

I know there is mouse and key board code that makes moving the camera around
much better to deal with

the limited zoom in and out distance dose not help for larger objects
like the one I am trying to do

I know you spend many many many and many more hours getting to this point
which I am glad you did ;o)

I think that the Dark AI might be able to help with some things

I've down loaded all the video thanks to a add on for Firfox

I can convert the video using DarkVideo and make them smaller with out losing
too much of the detail so they are still viewable

and they could be part of the help

I'm aware that it would increase the size of the down load

i will post again when ready.

Every time you scale a box or any object, you should fix mesh, to start modifying vertex in the right position

The best way to start with vertex....I guess, is creating a plain object and copy one of the corner points then we can one by one copy and drag vertex along a imaginary spline or shape as SMD_3D Interactive commented in hes totorial....the rest of the vertex, can be deleted. We have to take into acount, that all selected vertex, will be moved....so we have to take care with those that need to be move. This last update is great.... as we can see all the time what do every button.

Cheers.

Thanks....Chafari

Also now i understand what happened...lol! Exactly what you said chafari. When you enter vertex edit mode it goes back to the original vertex shape since the object vertex data was never saved as a rectangle. The reason it does not auto fix mesh is cause you may have limbs attached to the object and if you did they will become one mesh.

Excellent stuff! I will work on more tools to release by the weekend. Cheers!

well i got the rotate vertex tool to work....however...lol!

You cannot rotate around the X Axis (weird glitches occure)

this screen shot was originaly a cylinder.
I selected every second vert and scaled inward to make a star shape.
Then i rotated the y and z axis on the top selection.

Quote: "@ Chafari

I also created a flip triangle button. This will reconstruct the object with your selection inverted. Works very nicely! Just have your object cull set to 1 to beable to see the effects instantly.

I will update the download in a few minutes and edit this post when ready
"

Edit:

Download has been updated!!
And the rotation is just excellent!! Works very nicely!

Hi there.

@SMD_3D Interactive
Nice sonic shot !!...I just realize you made a new update. I will test it ritht now. I'm trying to make a code for the new chanllenge of retro games in our TGC forum. The rotate vertex function could be genial for new shapes . Let see if I have time and make a new vehicle aswell.

@Resourceful
You nearly got it !! ...what you have to do is just copy vertex and move vertex as SMD_3D show us in his video.

Cheers.

I downloaded the video and have been following it as best as I can

the other part the vertex editing would be a undo for that part

I thought I had problem learning MilkShape 3d
this one is is a bit harder to grasp

and even with the learning edition of 3d studio max
I still have not gotten into it , it's a over load

too bad 3d studio max the last time I saw was $3,500 usa + $10 for shipping
talk about silly after paying all that

at least no you can buy and download the thing now

all I need is the right pointers then I can move on from there
you showing how you took what I had built and expanded it helped
my way of thinking is similar to your and different

how you find your way to a place can either be the same or different
perception of reality at the time

I appreciate your efforts . I just needed some pointer's
on how to use your program

at least for the next person who wants to build there own they can
do it much quicker

I've used many programs so from that I can find out how to use
a new program but yours had me buggy eyed when I did not know the path
to get there

the help file that comes with milkshape 3d showed me how to build
a air plain and with 2 free additions I can now do some things quicker
like make holes that I was not able to do before
too bad it added way too many vertex's that have to be removed
but it cuts down on how much extra work needed to do such
too bad the creator of the addition is gone from the net

I will be looking at making the vertex editting and selection quicker as well.

Im going to add a selection button that will let you drag a box around an area and select all the points inside.

Also i will make a button that will reverse selection

These 2 additions should help out alot.

Also some basic shape buttons would be nice inside the vertex edittor aswell. like maby box, sphere, and such

I'v been my last 20 years working with 3D programs, and at first it was very difficul. Now....I even dream in 3D. When we have experience working with 3D programs, we can guess where to add vertex to create new triangles and finally apply a mesh smooth. We don't need such resolution in 3D games but most comercial engines opt more for the high resolution than for the game entertainment. Out there online we can find good progams for making games in low poly as Model Prop, and all of them has something better than others. We can make objects just adding more limbs and linking limbs....and with a bit of patience we can build up a complex single mesh made up of triangles

Cheers.

here is cheap o 3d object loading program I created
it is a file association type , I've got a little more planed for it
but it works , well for me 1 other person I sent it to and on my cheap NetBook
it dose not work so something is missing from windows

the source code is there

any else can grab a copy and learn how to do what I did

@chafari

I've been playing with Milkshape 3d
every thing I look at now I am trying to figure out how to build it
I know too much deal slows things and too little it looks like junk

I've not gotten to skinning yet but I have all the software to do it
there is one I want to get but $300 for the hole kit
and right now that's not an option

Nice truck indeed!! ... I have notice that the camera limits you or slow down you somehow when we have big objects. I think we should be able no only to orbit around a center but free camera moving aswell, or perhaps several camera views like most 3D programs.

with norton....it should have a setting to run anyways....

Your antivirus must be set up too high.
Even the IE will not like it but just click on actions and run anyways. (Or disable norton untill you have downloaded it and installed it...then just re enable it.)

I can not post a zip anylonger since microsoft appears to have blocked all zip files from being opened if it contains an exe file.

Even when you click properties....and unblock... it seems to always say corrupt still.

I literally can't make it allow it to run. And knowing my luck the instant I disable Norton, you will be hacked and I'll get a virus from the download. Really, that's how bad my luck is They now have a report about the website and attempted download, so I'm sure if at least one other Norton user tries to download it they will check it out and declare it safe. Hopefully I can use this soon.

That sucks.... i dont know another way to get around norton other than disabling. sorry dude!

The good news for the users that can run and install mp i should have an update tomorow that allows free camera movement as well as a better uv mapping tool.

Here is a Hedge Hog.....Hummm Looks familiar?

I will name him "Speedy The Road Hog" lol!

Licence: Freeware "enjoy!"

If your not sure what ModelProp can do then this is the exported X file as well. Try loading that into darkbasic to see the animation in action.

To play it safe i would not try selling something with this character or at least modify the way he looks more so he doesnt resemble sonic too much.

@SMD_3D Interactive

just a thought I am putting out

the need to press the fixmesh button should not be needed

the system should auto do , since it's guaranteed thought that
when the Vertex tools will be used

to move side ways - is to move forward
Since a Strait line gets thin fast
