ok, i've been working on my game for a significant amout of time and i've come to the point where i'm trying to texture my levels, i'm using .3ds files. I've textured my levels and saved them but when i try to open them in the game the textures don't disply! i've opened the levels in several different 3d modeling programs and in all of them the textures display fine but when i try to open them in my game they won't display. its realy confusing me and any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

After you made the u/v's did you save the model.
my advice is don't use .3ds files for games switch to .x .

You may have to load the texture in DB as an image, then texture the object with the image.

good luck

i've tried using 3ds files and .x files but it still won't display, i'm wondering why i cant do it the other way because almost all models in dark matter are pre-textured and all you have to do is load the object but i can't feagure out how to do it, the other two programs i've opened them in are JTedit and Milkshape3D. Any help would be apreciated.
Thanks Guys

another Question though, could the program i'm using just be saving the UV coordantnt values and not the texture filename itself? (in other words would i have to make it all one texture and then just texture it myself in DB with the texture object command?) i'm realy geting ticked off at it and would realy like some help.

I used a new program from darkbasic called gamespace and when I imported the objects at first it didn't save the textures that I used in gamespace but when I re-edited my objects it worked just fine

i'm using Rhinoceros v.3.0 to buld my models and save them and then i'm using JTEdit or Milkshape to texture them with the UV coordanents, however even when i save the models as .x or .3ds in milkshape or JTEdit it still won't display the textures when i load the files in DB, and i have the textures in the same directory as the file i'm loading. I don't realy want to use the texture object command in DB caus i want to load a whole level at once, although i guess i could load the objects one at a time and texture them indivudualy that way, but i'd rather not. Anyways thatks for your help so far guys!

did you save after you made the u/v's the way you wanted &
you have to load the texture in db and texture the object manualy in db but do it before your loop.
