Do you have your fingers in the pie ?
Or do you mean it will be faster because off the c++ part of the shadow system
...Anyhow we/I don't know what kind of Shadows they might implement as there are very much and every one has it's pro and cons

No matter what it will always be faster, im sure paul will be using mush faster 24b depth buffers that will make everything so mush faster
