hey. I've decided to make some more levels on top of the level, instead of making a sublevel. This way the ground floor gets covered up, and you get the same effect, though I think better. (lights 'n stuff) I could still add a sublevel if you really want, caus I have alot of polies left to waste Here's the latest wip screens:

if you put a type of floor in (maybe some sort of anti gravity tile) you could make so when you step there you get lifted. But I don't know if it actually supports it.

Looks really good Mitchell . Maybe you could use up some polys adding in a surrounding? Just it'll look weird having the level suddenly end into nothingness.

I'm not sure what it's meant to be, but it looks to me like some sort of artificial, open air arena. I can imagine tall, futuristic buildings all around it. It'd be cool if you could add them, and then have scaffolding type stuff (well, walkways) (maybe some places where you can get into a small part inside the buildings ) twisting up the sides of the buildings, and maybe some narrow walkways right across the middle of the gap. I'm just imagining a multi-leveled arena, but one where the upper levels aren't very thick, it's just me brainstorming, so you don't have to do anything I just said if it doesn't sound right .

Oh, I'd just like to say that I just finished playing both CS and CS:S and that gun does not look the P90 in either version. The texture on the base of the Blackout gun is similar but very much not the same image. And the base is also a completely different shape.

From this evidence we can deduce, once again, that Raven is a gas-spouting turbotard.

actually, it's an arctic base.. I'm thinking about making my own textures for it, so I can take full credit for the level It would be the first time I made something completely done by me, so that's a good reason to use own designed textures. There's gonne be ice foliage etc.. Just wait 'n see, I think I can make it into a good looking level

snow will be hard to acheive, player footprints etc, to make it realistic. Also if u do, u should have some more wide open spaces for warfare, 'twould be good. Level looks v.nice so far, it's reminded me to make my rooms less boxy

I tested it with some different colors so you would get a good idea.

Evil stick - I can't really tell you how to make text, I'm no 2D guru. If you can't do it, then maybe you'd better do something you know how to do.

Prof - I'm not sure about the textured 3D look of the text, I think a slick 1 or 2 colour theme would be better, mostly flat, possibly one pixel of 3D elevation if nesecarry. Plus, that text is more than 15 pixels tall . Speak out if anyone has any other opinions.

Mitchell - Arctic base, cool . Are you going to add in ice planes all around? If you want we could have it so the level is fogged (presumably an overcast setting) and fades out into the distance. If you were imagining clear skys then I'm not sure how you'd fade it out.

I know its not all open but i thought snipers would like a few cliffs around. If i could get some one to make the terrain for me i could make the objects.

i've knocked together a space map designed to test awareness of edges while under constant fire, good for frantic deathmatch or 1v1.

edit: just realised i could cut out the flat platform at the bottom and joint he ramps to the central platform.

Ok looks good, but there seems to be some deleted polys. In the
inside there doesnt seem to be much.

Maybe i/we should draw up some building blue prints rather than
randomly making them, that way the say close to being the same style.

On another note its pretty high poly. Other than that good job
