Hey Noldor... Could you make me another 2 signs?
It's about electricity: something like "danger high voltage"

Like these 2:

http://images.google.be/images?q=tbn:Ueyhv-wUnDIJ:http://www.nwasignshop.com/gallery/traffic/images/DANGER_HIGH_VOLTAGE.jpg

http://www.thesignfactory-falkirk.co.uk/SafetySigns/Images/Warn/W23.GIF

About the 'danger static electricity', you can leave that out. I don't need that, just the sign

Thx Noldor, you're the best

@Guy1
the answer will have to be NO.
(what did you expect, Realy. when i don't
even allow the use of my free models in anything
other then a freeware product.)

@famdylan
You could scale it to any proportion you want but i
can't guarantee that it will look that good. I could
make a higher resolution texture for it.
(now its about as big as a 32" tv would be in real life)
I will get together a couple of models to form a pack
before i release this time. I would expect it in
a matter of days.

@Chimera
I will do it. NP

Ok i thought i would make this into one GREAT friday
surprise. This will be my biggest release of free models
so far.
Keep in mind not to post questions on how to get the models
to work. (make your own thread on how to use custom models and ask there. OK!?!)

Important--> If this release of free models turns into
a big whining/spamming mess then i won't release any more free
models so don't mess this up.

Ok first one out is "THE" tunnel that i have been working on.
I hope you like it. It looks like this.

and can be downloaded here.
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/Tunnel.zip

The next model is a lamp that can be used to mount on the
tunnels wooden supports to brighten things up.
It looks like this.

and can be downloaded here.
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/lamp.zip

Then there is the wallscreen that i dug out from my collection
of old models for "famdylan".
It looks like this.

And can be downloaded here.
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/wallscreen.zip

I made this soda machine for "Samoz83" but i bet
there are more people out there that also want it.
It looks like this.

and can be downloaded here.
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/sodamachine.zip

I have also put together some high voltage signs for "Chimera"
and i hope he likes them.
They look like this.

And can be downloaded here.
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/voltage.zip

I have also made another one of those floor based decals
for you all to use to dirty your levels up.
It looks like this.

And can be downloaded here
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/dirt.zip

Last but not least. I made this Container because there was non
in the original media pack. It is a real simple cube with a skin
on it. (No 3d details) But it works well and someone might want it.
It looks like this.

and can be downloaded from here.
http://home.holmsund.org/noldor/model/contain.zip

I hope you all have fun using these models.
(for anyone curious to why i did not release the models
in one zip file. Well i made it like this to make it easier
for "EEK" to host the models on his site later on.)

Important--> If this release of free models turns into
a big whining/spamming mess then i won't release any more free
models so don't mess this up.
Good luck everyone.

Wow! Thanks!

About the gate, I don't expect you to make a gate that can be used! One that is static is fine. Any other details needed just ask, I'm not good at describing stuff...

Ok guys, I know he's good at it and all but I think we're overloading him a little bit now. Just saying, if you don't really need it but think it would be cool, try and wait for a decrease in workload.

Unless I'm mistaken...

So I retract my gate need (unless you've already started and don't want to waste work, or am not as busy as I think you are). I can find a way to do it differently, or it would be good practice because I'm trying out modeling myself...

I am realy glad that you all appreciate my work.

guy1 i don't want you distributing modified versions of my
models. That takes away parts of the form i was going
for so i would appreciate if you take down that link to
that model. OK?

(you got some nerve trying to perfect someone elses work.
Make your own low poly version but don't destribute a modified
version of mine)

BTW it does not need to have a lower polycount and if it does then
i will make it myselfe.

This might seem like not such a big deal to some people but
it could well be a good reason for me to stop releasing my
models to the community because it makes me kind of mad.
I hope you all understand.

hey noldor, ive created i guess you could say, a shirne to your work. i wanted to test it all out and i created a room with a collage of all your signs and such. i was wondering wether you could make some rugs. i specifically need a welcome rug for an entrance to my reception area, an area rug to put in the middle of the room, some place mats for the tables, and a computer tower, there is an lcd screen but whats running it? lol! i like your soda machine a lot, i applied the healthuse script like on the autohealth box and now the user can go up and get a soda and heal himself!! i dont really need one, but it would be really awesome if there were other textures to apply to the soda machine, like other brands of a bottle version to set next to it, or even a skin that makes it look like a snack machine! sorry if im getting carried away. i dont really need the awesome extra textures, but i do need the rug items if possible, thank you very much. i am using install creator to create an intallation program and using it i wrote a special thanks for all the models you let me use.

p.s. you know that there are going to be a few irky people who are going to exploit your work, but think of all the people who really do appreciate it!

hey Noldor, theres something interesting going over on the screenshots thread. Now, is it classed as commercial reasons if someone uses your model to win the screenshot competition? And are you against that?
Btw, I agree with the whole modification/redistribution policy. People shouldnt do that. Its rude.

@Nolder don't sweat it, i can see how you would be agitated at guy1 but you did release the model for free for the community to use.
At least he did give you credit for the original and that he just modified it, if he made a post saying he made a new tunnel segment using yours and just lowered the polys and didn't give credit he he should be crucified for stealing your's but i think he was just trying to be helpfull.

Although he should have made a new thread posted his modified verions of the model and gave credit to you for the original and that said that his was just a modified version and keep it out of your post. Anyways, this is just my opinion on the situation and Nodler your work is excellent keep it up and don't let this hinder you from providing for the community.

@Guy1
just make it a dead link. Remove the target zip from the server.

@Zone Chicken
Well i was in a bad mood even before i saw that he reposted my work.
I tried to keep it all in but some spilled out.
(I realy don't have to explain myselfe. I got angry at that and i told him. So i have the option of not making anymore models or
tell him how i feel and then hope to get it corrected. I think
i kind of deserve that.)

@Coldnews
Well using my models to win the screenshot competition would be a bit
greedy. (atleast i think so) But on the other hand if he wins that only proves that my models are good enough to show of.
I atleast hope that he is making it obious in the competition that
i made the models.
I set out to make some nice models that would be of use to people who can't make their own models.
It would then be realy unfair if a couple of months from now someone is selling a game and making a lot of money from something i worked hard on, that was never intended to be sold in the first place.
But if he wins the screenshot competition he get's a one time price of 250$. That would be okay with me but i would have loved if he had mentioned it to me before doing it.
Well you can't win em all. But now that i have given the greenlight to use my models in the screenshot competition that means that other
people could do it as well.
I realy appreciate that you brought this to my attention "Coldnews"
you are probably the nicest guy i have met online so far.

@Swhale

I kinda nodded in the direction of it being ok to use the models
in the competition. But if you feel that it would be the best
way to remove them then that is okay to. It's up to you.
I was kinda hoping for you to win now.

@Coldnews
It's true i realy don't like to be missing out on stuff because of
someone else. But seeing as i am not entering the competition
myselfe, it feels kind of okay.

would it be ok to ask how i could get pictures of the signs that show up as a brain in a bottle? its frustrating when i have to go through all of them and see whats what, and i hate getting extra entities on my history bar. i downloaded them from here on the forum, is it possible that the ones on fpscreators.com with the auto installer have them .bmps? or maybe i just put the .bmps of soem of the signs on the wrong place...

@Swhale...

you need to get an image (use the objects .tga files) and copy and convert to a 64x64 .bmp(bitmap) with the same name as the object .fpi(dont delete the original .tga) and place these in the same directory as the object fpi's...

hope this helps

wowo, that takes a long time to do, but i guess it would take longer to model those creations myself! thanks noldor!, maybe for future effeciancy noldor, would it be possible to have the x file, tga file, and fpi file named the same if your not planning on supplying bmps, it would jsut make it eaiser to do myself then also. your an inspiration, i plan on buying a new computer this summer complete with your modeling engine and a tablet and im going to start creating my own free models for people just like you do.

Great to hear that "Swhale".
That kind of inspires me to continue with what i am doing.

And by the way "Swhale" i think a tablet is a good investment.
It realy changed the quality of my images to the better.
Altouh a tablet will not make anyone great at drawing or painting
it is just a tool to make it easier. And for making it feel more
natural.

(Im not implying anything here, i just know that people get
disapointed when they expect to get good at drawing just because
they switch from a mouse to a tablet.)
I am starting to ramble here.

Well what i am trying to say here is.
Good luck with all your future modeling "Swhale". And i hope you
create some great stuff for the community in the future.

Noldor this is a thought I had (or anyone else who might be up to it) if there is a way to do this

I was looking at the terminalB in the entities and thought it would be cool if it had a holographic looking thing to hang over it - like a holodisplay you have seen in StarWars movies and such

Think something like that could be done? I think It would be sort of easy a box with a hazy see through pic of something cool

Maybe it could be done as a decal or something so it could be animated. Like a few pics and a fuzz out then return

I dont know its an idea

I think a semi transparent screen floating in mid air would
be possible. After all there are semi transparent windows.
So it would only be a question of studying the window
models.
