I shared the same thinking.. Everybody Stop the war, Make L..Games.[/quote]
To continue this, I WOULD DEFINATLY PAY £50 ($100) For V1!!!

totally agree most video games for X-Box and other game systems are between 40-60 dollars

this program is really worth so much more, im sure a few dollars in price wont scare people away. 50$ isnt that much these days. It cost more than that to fill up my car with gas(neer empty tank that is).

I come back here every week or so to see if the COST debate a has stopped.

Guess not.

Everyone will jump on this (but what the heck.) TGC is a business and are in it to make some money. Not saying that is the only reason. But come on..they gotta feed the kids. So, if they see fit to change pricing around a tad (and this has been only a tad compared to the stuff some software companies pull) then allow them to do it.

If it is a bad thing then they sales will show it. If no one really seems to care then sales will show on the upper end too.

I continue to think this is a SCREAMING deal considering what this software does and the commerical freedom they are offering users.

As usual...just my two cents from the states.

relax - in a 100 years who's gonna care

I really cant believe people are whinging over a fiver, or maybe a tenner. At the end of the day this product is a great achievement not only for the FPSC team, but us to use too.

Bollocks, even if it was an additional £20 to purchase, I'd get it, what more do you want?

Another thing to remember, what get what you pay for.

If anyone wants to pay extra money for their copy of FPSC V1, then we would welcome this

(sorry, it's Friday and my last day working on FPSCV1). Lee on the other hand has to work until the master is done... Don't worry, I am not taking it easy, I am doing some learning to drive work next week. Lee is due to master by the end of next week and then it all goes to production.

I personally don't care about spending more, after all, I have built a few demos showing what my game can do already. I think maybe a free model could make some of these people happy but I am fine paying $4 more to enjoy the full version (actually $12, cause i will be buying boxed).

The download is free for EA users. You do not need to buy V1. If you want the boxed version, you pay about $8, which is just S&H basicly.

ok, thank you. 1 more question, it would be more money for US people to wait for V1 to come out, because it would be $44.95 boxed version, if you dont have EA, plus shipping and handling and tax from the UK rather than downloading and upgrading from the EA version.

We're going to offer the following incentives to all EA owners: You'll receive the Online Version 1 product completely free of charge. yes, me also, its already been completed and their pressing the disks as we speak. so, technically, we could download it now if they decided to. i doubt theyd want people ranting about how early we get it though, so well only get it about a week b4 or so, which is absolutely fine by me!

A brekthrough it certainly is....

Its quality - not the size that matters...

FPSC is ceratinly a very innovative piece of software from a very forward looking game engine development company that breaks some well known barriers which prevent indie game makers actually doing just that - making and releasing a game.

The amount of development time and achieving anything like decent AI and pathfinding are just two of the major barriers which traditionally prevent individually or small teams from creating and actually completing their games.

Just try and find any other product in a similar or any other class for that matter that you can get hold of for a price anything like that which this thread is all about and if you can - then please let me know where I can find it?

Hmmm, well as an EA purchaser I'm just happy that I can get V1 for no extra charge. I don't really care about the extra $7; plus we got to beta test it and use it before everybody else! Feel happy that they had an EA addition!
