Yes you can now make custom working doors in Magic FPS.

Just set the outside(frame) and inside(door) textures and voila. There are also new options for what kind (use, key, auto --yes you can have an auto-wooden door now, and fake).

Notice the "prev" button at the bottom of the elements. Now I can have unlimited pages of elements so I'll have to fill up that page with stuff now. Different kinds of doors I think. Like maybe a big sliding door for all you ancient civilization game makers. Old west game makers can now have knotty cabin style doors in seconds.

...Also you can now edit material types and other things when you name your object. Or click "Just make it" and don't bother.

THAT is what I'm talking about!! A Make door option, why didn't anyone else think of this sooner?

And the material types option: is it going to allow difference in step noises, bulletholes, or both?

Once again, updates are free at this point. I may sell object packs for a $mall amount like 3 or 4 dollars, but for now any additions to MFPS are free to MFPS users.

Those who paid the $14.99 when it just made rooms and flats are gettin more than they bargained for heh heh.

The material type changes the walking sound. The decal and spawn settings change the bullet holes and blood/dust.

I'll hopefully have it out this week depending on how much more I make it do.

Just to give you some idea of what you can do, I made this structure in 3 minutes just with Magic FPS boxes. You can have entirely new custom elements with just Magic FPS primitives. (that's right now without the door update)

Yay. I guess I'm in luck then. You can make floors by themselves (like the original "ground" segment) or with walls or just walls by themselves or whatever.

corridors and platforms are tough because each corridor is basically 4 different segments. Same with platforms. I could make 1 generic corridor and platform set maybe. That would be a lot of work but a great idea for an extra MFPS element pack.

Maybe that's what I'll do with my hills. Make a corridor, platform, hill pack with lots of extra custom objects all sized right for FPSC and just load them in with Magic FPS.

Not in this release though. I'm working on some more textures for my hill1 object so you can have martian snow-covered and desert hills that blend nicely with corresponding flat textures. More on this later...

You can use GM Media commercially as long as it's not like your own model pack or something. It has to be in a game.

For example you can't buy grave matter and sell your own "gravestone pack" for 2 bucks with all my gravestones in it. That kind of thing.

And when you put 3rd party media in your games it's good to use FPSC Pack or something to sort of hide your media.

The other cool thing about the arch is it's a segment like a wall so you can place it easily, but you can also load it as a custom entity so you can then scale it any way you like to have Giant tall arches for like a bridge or whatever.

The arches looks very great, much better than those original holes in the walls where you can't walk trought

You mean arches? You can, but not as a segment; you would load the ar.x object from the objects folder and save it as an entity. Then you can resize it any way you like.

yaaaye! what i ment was entities like objects and i was just wondering when you make a object say a merry-go-around can you animate it were it can spin and horsey go up and down? can you animate objects? like make them go on forever but good work anyway sinister your super smart!!! i can never code to complex!!! children+work=uhhh!

Lizblizz, of course a spinning merry-go-round is possible, but would take a rediculious amount of work to make. As a matter of fact, it has the be the most complicated object idea for fpsc I've ever heard

Entities imported with MFPS lose their animation. I may have an alternate kind of importer, but mine allows more custom scaling.

I tried to make those long time ago with a crumy modeling prgram, and the poly was to low, so i couldnt go through the door. OK It's still taking a while, but that's because I added 3 new elements Hillside, hill corner and hill inside corner. Now you can make 45degree hills of any size and shape both up and down any texture with Magic FPS. Here are some examples of what you can do...
