It may be a HL2 zombie ripoff, but damn it sure looks good.

Give a man some bullets, and he'll want a gun. Give a man a gun and he'll be giving away the bullets!!

Why is it over-layed over a Windows screen? The foot is over the blue Windows toolbar, and the zombie is covering half of the crosshair. Are you just doing that to show what it might look like in-game?

yeh looks like it, but i think he said he had trouble getting it in game, that may just be a way of showing the model...

I see, so it's just used as a placeholder of sorts. I don't think that's the Half-Life one though, it looks original to me. (Looks mean too ). Good work.

Are you sure about that? It sure looks like a hack job of the Half-life zombie that a talented modeller at Valve made...check my side by side picture. There are some differences, but there are even more similarities, even the gray area around the cuffs is the same.

Prove me wrong, but if it isn't your original work, just say so. I just have a big problem with people taking the credit for work of others.

I'm not openly accusing you of stealing work, its just looks SO similar. The whole DESIGN of the zombie is the same, open chest wound, claw hands, same clothes pattern, open mouth...why not change it a little.

Fair enough, yes the blood pattern is different as well now that I look closer.

Great looking model Zizaco. I'll definitely want to use this model in my game, if I ever actually get around to making it.

I could export it for you if you want.

Yes please post the max file so someone can make it fpsc-ready. Personally, I can't wait to try it out. It looks awesome! And it looks like a good compliment to the hl2 zombie, to have a variety of zombies in your game

Ok! I Will Explain... In the reality it`s not the zombie of the HL2... it look like it because have a hole in the body like that...

I used with base your model! yes Jonathan Fletcher! The cientist... remamber?
I remodelated his head, his hands, his body (to do the role and some bone spikes)
And now is it... i Just need help to export it to X format with bones... when i do it the 3Ds crash... i will post the .max scene and please someone convert it...

This is a little move of how it walks... only 200k NICE!
(press CTRL+T in Media Player to Repeat).

Yes it is in the same style... maybe you game have a history like: The Open Chests Zombies! and you can use it to all the zombies dont look like the same...
OBS: I used the pants texture from the HL2 one...
But the primary base off all is the Jonathan Fletcher cientist model.. so you all should say thx to him

I Smothet and aded much more vertexes from the screenshot one... the one to download is smoothed.

Soon i will post the BumpMap!!!
Its gona like real!

The HL2 one dont have bump... but the mine will

Just for remamber! its freeeeeeeeee
use when you want, if you whant and for comercial games if you want!
I will be pride if one day my model was in a comercial game

Looks as if hes scaled parts of the body up from one of the zombies hanging around the internet. Your better off saying you edited the zombie and no one will stick your head on a pike then.

that was made from my scientist model?

hah, actually, when i look at it now, i do see the same features, even from the texture, for instance, the trousers, shows and shirt...

i only ask that you tell people that the original structure was mine in the main post, a very nice variation there

Its because i have to wait to my posts show... and editting it it chashes when try to hide the active post...
Sorry...

About the animations... it isnt a problem anymore... when you are configuating the exporter just clik in animation frames and change the FPS from 30 to 25... the animations will be right when you export

Ok, I just took a look at the texture after downloading the files...

Zizaco, 90% of the texture is from the HL2 zombie, just chopped up and rearranged. So, actually none of this is your own work...

Guys, DO NOT use this for commercial games, the texture is copyrighted material from Valve. Just because its been hacked up you can't claim its your own work.

I'll still export this for FPSC, just making everyone aware of this.

Unbelievable...lets look at these quotes from Zizaco:

First he claims its his own model
Quote: "
I`ve modeled a nice zombie with alot of bloodly and gore
Look at it and say what you think...:
Its with the fps .bip animations... whit a special zombie style wallk "

Then he defends his "work":
Quote: "YES! Is A ORIGINAL Work..!

Stop searching thats orininal mine!
I`ve self made the textures with base in the HL2 zombie (the pants)
Ive done the bulletholes in the face... the theets and the open chest...
"

Then he even has the balls to give us "permission" to use it commercially:
Quote: "Just for remamber! its freeeeeeeeee
use when you want, if you whant and for comercial games if you want!
I will be pride if one day my model was in a comercial game
"

Well, let's give credit where its due:

Thanks Jonathan for the model and UV mapping.
Thanks Valve for the texture.
Thanks to the TGC for the biped.
Thanks to yours truly for the zombie biped variation.

LOL!

Seriously, though, does he have anything to say or did he disappear like they usually do when they get caught?

Thanks Zizaco for the Variations in model(Open chest, Head, Hands) and for the Self Made Textures (Hand, Head, etc...)

If you have the HL2 Zombie Texture look at it... the texture is similar in the pants and in the shirt... but have a lot of variations... i think you can use it in comercial games... or can't?? because of a pant and a shirt?

IM finishing the bump map (FULLY SELF-MADE!!!) i will post it soon...
And im starting a new model...

Quote: "I'll export this tonight for you guys...I'm downloading it now."

Did you use the max8? because with the 7 i get no working

Quote: "Does it use my modified FPSC zombie biped?
"

I use the bip file from the zombie of model pack 2...

bond1 hyrumark and all...
Now the final explain: I Took the Cientist Model... Modeled a hole in his chest, the bine spikes out of it... the head some changes... the hands... smothed it...

I took his UVmap... i cuted the pants and the shirt from HL2 zombie... but on it... i changed the hole ini the chest... (in the HL2 texture it is more down in mine i did anither wiouth any organs and more up).
Than ive take a The Sims Head distort that and put in the head places of the UV Map...

After that i make the holes in the face and in the mouth... i took the theets from the HL2 Texture in pu in his mouth... i make a texturized stone in Photoshop and pu in hands... i've used the same shoes of the cientist...

Than i mapped the bones from chest...

Put the .Bip file from the zombie...

And its ready...

hmmm seems like Milkshape doesnt import the animations from the .3DS file. crap ! Trying to get it right with blender and wings3d.

and some more i wanted to say :

ITS NOT FAIR !!! how some people on this forum are flaming the work of zizaco. Okay, he used a FREE model and edited it. the texture is partially from a hl2 model. but not more than 50% i think. so it doesnt matter at all. and even if it would, retexturing is easy. just apply your own textures if you dont like this one.

i mean, you also could have said, "wow, great work !! keep on !!"

my opinion.....i think zizaco has done a GREAT job on editing the scientist model ( in such a creative way ). it just looks perfect. editing FREE models is totally okay. and the texture, too !

i will use it as soon as i get it working in FPSC. Like i said, i love it.

yeah...thats the ticket !
