i can see this is gonna be a big one, so...first post hehe

good to hear this crow, if theres anything people really need, its new guns

i would just say to do modern weapons, seems fairly popular (e.g ak47, UMP, MP5, SAW, etc.)

quick question, when UV mapping, do you take all the faces and align them to the side plane? or do you fully unwrap?

yeh, side view thats what i do sometimes, i really need to get into the habit of flattening the uv's

you have MAX right? you can use the unwrap modifier in that, its pretty good, nothing really special though

Have a go at this 1917 luger, crow. I edited the image I found to try and make it easier for you to uv map onto the model. It still has some of the red table it was on in the image.

Wow,

Looking fantastic Crow.

You're a very, very talented modeller! I'm not sure if I'm off due to my three month break from the TGC community, but would a Winchester 9410, like the one attached be anywhere near possible? Just a suggestion, but it's not as though I couldn't live without one. Anyway, I can't wait until you release it! Until then, I'll get my credit card at the ready .

hot damn. With that SW blaster, figure out how to make it blast laser bolts. If you can make it shoot an object I'll make the laser bolt for you with transparent planes.

Your welcome Jon. I am also remaking my M249 with that image. It will not be as good as yours or crows, but I will try my best. But back on subject.

Support? I took that into Iraq on convoys all the time. M4A1 would've been better to handle inside the truck though. I had 1,000 rounds on me for it.

Those look sick crow! But on the M249, the clip sould look like this. Yours is way to thin. (I didn't post my whole M249 model, because that would be hijacking your thread).

Nice models crow.

Havok, how do you know crows gun is an M249. I think these kind of questions piss him off, and is why he quits projects because people moan at him.

Except for his ammo bucket, Crow's gun sure lookes like a modified M249 (S.A.W.) to me.

its true higgins one thing i hate about these forums is people who moan and pick at projects that i spend my time on and devote my time to making some thing for this community i have had a lot of people lately moaning about things i do this includes the complaints i got for my custom multiplayer

the amount of complaints i got through email concerning my custom multiplayer were loads and loads

somepeople tend to complain it gets to the point that i think i should be on there payroll working for them

however i am glad you guys like the latest updates

ps i have never been in the army so i dont know what the ammo bucket of a m249 looks like but thanks for the info

I carried an M249 for years in the Army; Havok's example (which I showed to him months ago in his thread) is the correct configuration for the ammo box. I used to carry around a 100-round pouch that was less bulky than the standard 200-round box.

If you think I'm picking on you, you're wrong Crow. I'm trying to help; but if you don't want it, that's fine with me.
