The Animated Sprite pack will be released shortly through TGC at the reasonable price of £11.99. Considering theres 100 unique sprites, thats under 12 pence per texture.
This gives you:
60 Professional animated decals for FPSC
New emitter models for FPSC
60 animated sprites in PNG, AVI and JPG format for DBpro
40 Static particle and effect sprites for DBpro in TGA,PNG and JPG format
4 sound effects for FPSC
All permitted for both commercial and non-commercial use.

The sprite pack will be available with a 25% discount when bought with a new copy of FPS Creator.

Honestly, as a longer time user (bought V1 right when it came out), I do hate that, I really do.

Long time user hardly ever get any rewards, it's always the new users getting them...... we should be rewarded for having FPSC headaches for such a long time

As for the price, sounds good, even without the discount!

As a FPSC user, I seem to miss out though am I correct?
Quote: "60 animated sprites in PNG, AVI and JPG format for DBpro
40 Static particle and effect sprites for DBpro in TGA,PNG and JPG format"
That's 100 in total.
Quote: "60 Professional animated decals for FPSC"
That's 60 only..... where did the other 40 go?????

If I only get 60 useable sprites for FPSC and I'm a FPSC only user, don't have DBPro, shouldn't I pay less?

Or did you forget to mention a couple of sprites for FPSC?

The time alone it would take me to make even 5 or 6 of these, and get them into a format recognized by FPSC (along with the new emitter models),makes this a no brainer for me.

@ Benjamin A
Theres nothing stopping you from using the 40 static sprites in FPSC, there are muzzleflashes and other effects that you can use to replace the exisiting ones in FPSC. There may be a particle system update to FPSC in the future and the particle sprites would put you in a good position for creating new effects.
DBpro users only get the raw sprites, FPSC users get .fpe files, extra emitter models and sounds - consider the 40 static sprites a bonus.

Once you've bought it you are welcome to download both the DBpro pack and the FPSC installer.

Also, theres nothing stopping you from buying FPSC again and taking advantage of the discounts, you could sell your duplicate copy or give it away as a birthday present. Why not club together with a friend who wants FPSC?

Even without the discount this is still worth the price.Your reward as a long-time user is the warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you spend time on the forums with us.Considering I can't make some of this and if I can it will save me time and aggravation if I just buy the pack.Keith is right. You will make up what you paid for it in the time you save.

Hi Simon,
I have a question for you if you don't mind, this morning when I purchased the sprite pack there was 2 different versions of the sprite pack one for FPSC and one for DBP, but now there is only one? I'm guessing you combined them into one now?

Lizz,
I have three words for you:
ANIMATED SPRITE PACK!
If you can make an animated psrite pack that is fine.$20 is a good deal for this.It would cost more in time and energy just to make some of the sprites and they are...ANIMATED!
Trust me when I tell you this can make the difference between a good game and a great game.I can't wait for my download to get here.I will have new toys to play with!

The downloads should be available by the end of today at the latest.
There are still two versions, the DBpro pack and the FPSC pack, the DBpro pack is about 160mb whilst the FPSC one is 20mb....the difference in size is down to the fact that the DBpro pack contains the decals in different file formats.

There was a pricing error that meant someone was only being charged £1.99. We were informed about first thing yesterday and its been rectified.
Lizblizz, As I understand it, $20.00 is equivalent to £11.99.

LOL.

uh think you mean £11.99 is equivalent to $20
And you need to be careful TGC, advertising standards and all that! If you advertise it at the wrong price, you can't then ask the buyer for more cash once they've paid.

Just wanted to let some people know if you haven't found out yet that TGC accepts PayPal now, so if you have a Paypal account you can pay for this pack that way if your having trouble with your credit card, you can sign up for a PayPal account also if you don't have one its free, I've had mine for a few years because of buying and selling stuff on Ebay.
Just an Idea!

and I'm still waiting for my download also.

Just got mine too. That ocean, shore, and slow wave makes me think of a South Pacific setting. Nice stuff.

I like the settings in the fpi, too. Keeping the sprites facing the player is a nice option.

Sorry for the delay in getting the downloads to people, I guess we didn't expect the demand. I hope you enjoy the new toys.
If this is sucessful I plan to get some new software that'll help create a new sprite pack or maybe I'll do some models instead.
How would you guys feel about individual models and media being available on the site? or do you feel you get better value from the packs?

Regards

I like the packs but if individual models and or medea were made available at a reasonable price that would be cool too.For some of our forum members the price of a model pack might be too expensive.
I think the more options we have the more stuff you will sell.
I have been playing with the sprite pack and am having fun with it.
You did a heck of a job.

I'm not sure about individual models unless it would be something like:

Pick any 5 for $xx or any 10 or something like that. It just seems like it would be difficult to sell one model unless it was something that someone specifically needed and requested.

The theme pack works better for me anyway. I think for the most part, people don't really know what they want until they see it.

Is there any way to slow down the animation speed? Can I type an extra line in the decal FPE??

It looks more like the emitter model is intersecting with the wall geometry, rather than a transparency mistake. But I haven't tried these yet...
