Thx for the feedback guys. I'm gonna try to get some more screenshots up before the day is up

@Dar13: The generator is all blue because i used a blue light to illuminate the area around it. Since its a dynamic object, it illuminates the whole thing blue (shame )

Any way i can fix this problem? It needs to stay dynamic so static mode is out of the question guys

very good! are yoy sure this is your first game?

1. i like the style, and the choice of weapon is good.
2. very well populated, not to much, not to little.
3. as DAR13 said, try to change your lighting.
other than that i actually can't find any other faults!
i hope we get a chance to play this soon!

Alright, played the demo and I have to say it's great man!

The use of map layout, voice acting, objectives and the general environment over all makes for a really cool feeling, you have a perfect scifi atmosphere going.

And the puzzles so far are really good as well, I enjoyed how it's not just like you have to hit a button and the generator is magically fixed, but you have to go and collect a piece of equipment and actually FIX the thing.

The music as well, fits great with the mood of the game.

For some constructive criticism, the only thing I could pick at would be the lighting. Many times I could barely see where I was going and those always happened to be times where there was an intended gap in the floor. Hence...I had to restart a lot
Maybe if you just added a little more light in the pitch black areas, it would help. Just a thought

A fantastic start none the less though!

Hope to see more soon man

-Cheers

Glad to hear it man Ya i know, the lighting is a little dark
I'll touch it up a bit, its too dark for me sometimes too

The loaders for the levels are a little rough still, i intend to keep the same text but make it a little more uniform

Voice acting's a bit rough eh? lmao

I fell so crap because when I got the key and actually got more than 5% of the game done.... I FOUND IT QUITE SLEEPY (saying it in the nicest possible ways) I was really disappointed about the slowness of the game I didn't get to use the wrench and I kept on getting lazered
by some mini robot guy

Sorry!

What do you mean you didn't get to use the wrench? If you got killed by the robot (which is hard to get killed by )
then you got to the point where you had the wrench?

Sleepy? like as in boring?

Slowness of the game? Slow progression? or slow FPS, because I get on avg 20-30 FPS while playing, with maybe a lag spike here and there.
None of my friends have complained of lag either

Hope we can get it sorted out

oooh! I see... They look cool, btw. Not noobish at all.

Is there some shader or something (yes I'm a noob, so might sound idoticly stupid and zum zam zibiously retarted) so that the generator soesen't not look blue.

In the abattoir nightmare thread someone said the solution to the problem, if I remember right. They were ofcourse talking about getting the doors look like they don't stand out.

Yes, ive heard of such a thing, but if youve read my post, i cant properly use shaders thnx to dumbassed ATI

(everything just doesn't look right, almost messes up the lighting even )

Otherwise i would jump right into using such a solution

Thnx anyways for the heads up.

Ya i know, there's not much action now, but the game isn't meant to be entirely just a go around shoot things game, it's more of a storyline, puzzler with action sprinkled in.
The game is nowhere near completed, this was just a quick demo to show what kind of atmosphere i am going for and to get a more hands on feel of the story

Not to say there won't be the adrenaline packed moments

Anyone else? Try the demo, u know u wannnaa

*sigh* work on the next level is slow, script heavy with quite a few bugs i gotta iron out .

It's turning out to be more awesome than i thought though

I've realized, it's hard work sometimes, it takes quite a bit of your time

The demo was pretty cool, I did notice there were a lot of dynamic entities that didn't need to be dynamic, such as the coffee mugs, computers etc.

Well it runs fine for the most part

I suppose deleting some could make it better though, specially for those who have less powerful machines

If i make them static it won't lag as much right?.. or should i delete some of the entities entirely?
