Shark basic is actually "dodica basic" with a name , and with extended syntax list , it now supports more commands.

Shark Basic now supports (0.1 - test version)

old:
new:
(old is what this post had first , it`s not features from some old version..)

*Print command (print to screen)
*Cls command (cls)
*Play wav support
*Play midi support
*Load model support (x,3ds)
*Load and play or loop models animation !
*Load bmp picture and show it
*Load jpg picture and show it
*Window mode
*Fulscreen mode
-----------------------------------------------------------------

This is the "test verstion" witch means i`m asking for as many of you as possible to download it test it , post your comments , and post bag`s you have seen , and post feature command requests.

I first want to see how does this work , and if it get`s "approval" as project , it will be finished with as many commands as possible , and with .exe creating feature (that will HAVE to be there , so imagen it already is , becouse it sure WILL).
----------------------------------------------------------------

(note : it`s not actually a link , but copy that to your adress bar , and press go or enter , and it`l work...)

i have found a way to combine assembly and dark basic programming.
And one thing i didn`t sad that it has a preaty well done help. (except it`s not finished yet .. - my basic isn`t nider.. but you can find all cammands syntax in there...)

p.s. i would like some coments...

and one other thing , if i finish this "thing" right .
I will also make a INTERACTIVE Drag and drop interface , that exports code to db and dbpro! - i`m working on that right now.
(but i`l first finish my compiler , next thing i NEED after i finish writing support stuff.

And what colour do you think background default will be best when 3d moddels loaded ? - now it`s blue like db .

Naa , it`s new year so i`l forgive the ones hwo ruined my forums , and please just don`t do it again , ok ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok now i made a real nicer looking working space gui .

Download the upgrade to 0.5 from 0.4 and you will get this very nice guy + saving option !
-----------------------------------------------------------------
How to use :
Unpack data.zip , go into it , and select the "shark basic.tkn" and the data folder (all that`s in it basicly...) and copy it to your shark basic folder , and it will ask to change places (for the tkn file) and you say "YES" , just start shark basic.exe and you`l see the changes!

Yeah, that is small enough. Your Shark Basic is pretty cool, but I think it is a little confusing. I think it will be alot easier to understand if you have the commands like:
Print to screen "Hello World"
instead of
Print to screen
Hello World
and the IF statemendts are confusing. The midi loaded command, kind of like an if statemend, should have an endif type thingy.

it might be a litle confusing , but i think that should be easyer for ones who don`t know programming at all to learn , there are no parameters so it might be easyer....
-------------------------------------------------------------------
and anyways this is only testing 0.5 version(with update)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
as you can see it is getting better , so don`t worry , it will still go on better for a long time... (many things to be done , and you can see how better it is , becouse "dodica compiler" is what i started off..)

Why does anyone need to make an easier version of BASIC. first, read the name "BASIC", it really doesnt get much easier. Secondly by letting the users do commands like
print to screen
BLAH

they dont learn what exactly perameters are. So they might get good at your dummed down basic, but wont be able to move on to more powerfull stuff. Basic is a stepping stone to get to more powerfull stuff like C++ (if you want to ), i dont think there is an actually need for another stone to help you get to basic.

around here.. normal's just a setting on a hair dryer

For the sake of those who are going to download SharkBASIC, I hope very much that all of the commands are spelled correctly...

And btw, I don't think

print to screen
String to be displayed

is the best way to go about making a language -- Users will have to remember which lines are "parameters" and which ones aren't when their programs get larger. It's much more efficient to have it on one line, and much more understandable.

Do people write

"He said
Bla!
so there."

or

"He said 'Bla!' so there."?

Just take a little time to rething some of your syntax; Using parameters is the best way to go.
