13th November => official start date
23rd November => official end date
24th November => Voting Begins
30th November => Voting Ends
1st -5th December => the time period that we allow the winner to choose the next one

I will win this one, if not by talent, by big payoffs to voters for me...if I had money. Anyway, will try to get my WIP to look more like a hovercraft then a 5 minutes model of a plate with neat attachments(which it only took me 30 minutes, so I guess it is just a beautiful plate)

Heh, thanks Animeblood.
The yellow circle is flame, there are little rockets on the outsides of the wheels that can be ignited to turn the wheels reallly fast. In these renders there isn't blur or flame so you can see it better.




Also that isn't gonna be my final cuz I forgot all about the background!

right. competition looks stronger atm, @Heckno...I'd elaborate around the vehicle part, doesn't balance well with the other model (because the other model is doing the balancing har har...soz bad joke)

Well I don't want Ooga booga or the crazy to win AGAIN, so people add to the competition, oh and, I might be entering this time

What is the main objective with this compo? making the coolest image in total, or just the model itself?

If I'm to enter this compo I would like to make a model that could easly be used in a DB game if anyone would want to put it in. But low poly models seldom have a chance agains highpoly ones on image quality.. if its the design that counts I guess I could give it a go

Well, these compos are judged how the voters want to, high/low poly shouldn't be a barrier, people can make the sweetest low poly models and kick ass more than the average high poly one, being you Jonny, I'm sure you should have no prob

not to start any flaming, but if you want to win a competition, you want it for the satisfaction, to know that you have made something so good that noone else can beat you.. you cant get that feeling by using something that you havent made.

Did Micheal Moore make his movie for the people or money? Nope, fame (won't go into detail, but all he did was make politics entertaining and raise important issues, did the right thing for the wrong reasons really). So basically, only explanation someone would cheat a no prize contest is glory and/or recognition
