I have been editing xplosys follow and shoot script. With the help of plystire's scripting toutorial and him finding the missing Conditions and Actions.

The ally will do the following
1. Engage the enemey
2. C to have him crouch
3. F to have him move forward
4. B to have him turn around and run back
5. he will also follow you

the script has been tested but with one enemy
Have Fun!!!!

Great! Can I change the scankeys to whatever key I like?

And does this require empty's mod?

My first animated Gif. Made in GIMP 2.

It doesn't seem to. Try making the enemy named "AI" and press Z though... Ok, its decent, not perfect, but with some work... My teammate seemed to only fire when you press Z though, and then only one round. Also, if you move more than two segments away, they stop shooting and follow. Haven't tested more than one teammate, nor for more than a minute or two, so maybe its my error somewhere. I'll try improving it.

Awesome job!

When I saw the titled of the thread, I was expecting to come in here and have to tell someone to shut up about wanting Allies!

Glad you found a use for my tutorials. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that people actually use them.

In the script you can change the settargetname=x to the name of the enemy as long as it is not a number form what plystire found.

The ally does kill the enemy but is a bit buggy in the process.
the ally frezzes up and won't quit shooting until you go so far away

you can change distances to suit youself. I just found the distances I set sutiable for myself.

Have not worked out multiple targets.

Finaly I am glad you all like the script considering how a lot of people were wanting it.

I went though more testing of this script and made a new addition to it.

you can now have the ally go around corners.

the script will work with multiple enemys but the ally will only shoot one at a time.

I suggest in applying this script to make sure that the shoot field in the charcter properties has the shoot script in it for extra measures.
