You may not have noticed, today we made the store part of the FPSC Beta. This means anyone with FPSC can upgrade and start using the store.

Go grab it here;

http://www.fpscreator.com/betafiles/FPSCreator_Upgrade_109.zip

Note that there's a FREE section in the store, so you can start downloading objects as soon as you have an account setup!

The bad thing is that it won't be hard for bad people to rip media from. I study everything to make sure that my products can't get hacked. Someone could use a simple memory editor to edit the number of points they have. They could set it to like 9999999. Maybe you should look up all memory editors. And program them so that if one of them is open, it will close and ilert tgc or something. I'll try to tell you as much as I can so that you can fix this, (if it hasn't been looked upon already)
Memory Editors are programs designed to scan for addresses then change the value that the address is currently set at, they can change higher, lower, and freeze so you can never loose anything.
They are mostly used in games, which is not illegal if it is not multiplayer. This way they can cheat on games that don't have built in cheats.
Memory editors usually have a built in Trainer making system. (a program that enables you to alter specified memory without having ot hack it your self. To get rid of these. Just use a find window command and kill it!

Some memory editors:

-Cheatengine
-ZenosEngine
-WammyEngine
-Memedit

No I'm not a hacker, but I do the same protecting method so that people like them can't edit memory, steal my stuff, or spy on my code for passwords and stuff.

Feel free to delete this post. Just hope it helps if you havn't looked upon it.
Best of luck tgc!

Their system checks it from the Internet side too I guess, If not. thats a way to block the value editing.

Hopefully yes. Lol I'm concerened. There are quite alot of people out there wanting to get there hands on free models. As soon as I herd about this coming out I felt bad because I knew that loads of people would see this as an opitunity to hack it. And it is possibele to mem edit internet also. If thats what you are saying.

The points value is held on the server, when you request a model the server checks you have enough points to purchase it and if not it refuses to let you have it.

Changing the point value in the client would just change the display, not the actual points value.

Review: Everything works great. The free items worked without fail, and the points system works, meaning you cant buy stuff if you have no points. (You cant blame a guy for trying)

The only thing i dont like is the library tabs being moved to the top. That's annoying. But i suppose i can live with that.

may i just say i am soooo impressed with the on-line store!! and i am very impressed with the amount of points you get for your money. i am a big fan of fpsc and i don't even think i could use up 2000 points for ten quid. i would also like to say a massive thanks to everyone that has taken the time and effort create a huge array of items for this store, and also for making them available at a points price that everyone can afford. keep up the good work and thanks again!!!!!!!

Thats good if it works like that. Let me explain what some dude did a couple of years back that changed the history of Runescape. Like you said...It will only change the display of the value. But having the core addresses plus the display, can make up one address, when changed, can change the whole thing...I might be wrong but who knows. Thats only if the display value is readed of the points core. And if someone got hold of that...bugger...

Okay, I downloaded this new update with this TGC store. I have questions and suggestions:

First, the questions:

If I purchase and download an item from this new store, will the store remeber what I bought?

Can I re-download my purchased item without order it again if I reinstall my operating system?

If I want to make a backup copy of the downloaded files is there any other files I need to bacup beside of the "well known" (fpe, fps, tga, dds, x ...) files?

Now the suggestions:
I think it would be better if the products are shipped in an installer and when I purchased it, FPSC save it to for example FPSCreator/purchased folder and after download complete, FPSC ask the user to start the installer. (in a dialog, wher user can decide to start the installer right now, or manually later)

This would be better because Its easier to make a backup of an installer than browsing out the automatically installed files.

I HATE to redownload everything after a fresh OS reinstall.

Suggestion 2:
It would be nice, if you implement a "Show purchased items" menu, to make the redownload procedure easier.

Best

Captain kirk:
1: Yes
2: Yes
3: Not that I know of.

And remember, if you are captain kirk, you need to imitate William Shatner. That means you need to leave 1-2 seconds between each word and say everything really dramatically. Then get fat.

In other words, back up everything you purchase, so you don't have to waste downloads if you happen to lose one object.

You don't have to search for the files... The entities are all saved in a 'purchased' folder inside the 'entitybank' and 'segments' folders... So that's just 2 folders that need to be backed up, which is not difficult at all...

It's only complicated if the segments/entities add anything to the texturebank/meshbank (as I think a few of them don't put them in any "purchased" folder there) or if they're weapons you gotta make sure you go to gamecore->guns.

Oh ok... I thought everything was stored in those 2 folders... I guess it's not as easy as I thought...

Some things put stuff in Gamecore, others in Texturebank, Meshbank etc. All the media is spread.

Most of the entities I think are all in the entitybank with the exception of weapons, though segments are a bit more spread. If I recall all the texturebank/meshbank downloads all use the Artist's name though.
