I have installed all three items as said here:

But I get the following:

Make sure you have the latest NVIDIA PhysX driver installed as well as the latest GPU driver.

try this it got mine re going after a year with in not working.

When finished you should be able to run Dark Physics and continue working with it.

lets just check, you have :-

1. downloaded the demo of darkbasic pro with the physic build in.
2. downloaded the nvidia physics drivers 08.06.12
3. you have directX 9.c 2007.

Dark Physics makes any hot drink go cold.

OK, how do I check which DirectX Pc I have? Right now, I am downloading the DirectX SDK, do I need that do you think?

So, 1. Check, 2. Check, 3. How do I check?

if it a 60meg plus file then it should work. as I have never got the 30meg file to go yet.

It shouldn't be looking for NVCUDA.dll unless you have an 8500 M or higher card. It will use the card for physics processing. Try running in software mode instead...

Meh... The Speed doesn't make Comcast good...

OK, solved that problem, I have an 8800 GT, so indeed it is using the GPU for part of it. Having installed the CUDA files, it now works as it should, very impressive!

Now, I have another problem. I cannot get the debug mode to work, I get an error message that says DirectX is not installed, any clues as to what causes this?

Twisted Steel, How do you get it to run in software mode? I don't have an nVidia card on my laptop so if it doesn't happen automatically then I am afraid I have serious issues. I have followed the steps the HowDo suggested but it had no effect as I still get the same error message as nzjony.

Any help is appreciated.

My issue has yet to be resolved.

I have the latest physics sdk, the latest direct x sdk, all 3 cuda downloads, and the latest physics drivers.

I am running an 8400gt on a lenovo, so I can't dl the drivers from Nvidia and must instead get them from Lenovo... who perhaps haven't updated their drivers yet.

So... how do I run in software mode?

It seems I can't install the CUDA driver (BETA) as it exits with error saying:

---------------------------

So.... seems I don't have an adequate card, though it is a 8400gt Quadro, but surely that shouldn't make a difference. Weird....

Ok chaps, because I had a laptop, things weren't working... but I have fixed it.

I used the 177.35 drivers, with a modded inf I found here:
