Not 100% complete, but close enough.

Oh, yea, forgot about screen shots and such.
But, its a tut, not a new idea

Also, the shots are not what its about.
This is 5000+ lines of open source
fully documented source code with media.

Complete with a level editor. (almost)
The map editor is a seperate download.

Or if you want to jump directly to the Tut ...

The code is in "waffle" format, but it is also available
in DBC format. Click any download link and you will be
asked about what kind of source you want ....

I decided to stop working on this and begin working on
something else. Mostly because the other things to do on this
are minor or not exactly important. I was going to add options
for the wheels to fly off and such, but felt the game is better
if the cars simply get flat tires forcing you to hit the pits
for repairs. Sure, more crash effects would be nice, but would
make the game less fun. If your car is destroyed, game over. That's
not fun So, you get a flat, about a one lap penaulty (because
of lost time in the pit) and can continue the race. More fun.

All media is available in the DBC folders, so don't expect anything
new here. But, you will see real-time mesh-deformation and an animated pit crew. Also the pit crew will comunicate with you during the race. They inform you of problems, and will perform maintenance requests. That means, before you hit the pit, you need to inform the crew what you want them to do.

Also, mapping methods and how to do tasks over multiple syncs to maintain frame rates is demonstrated. So, the media, game, and such may be primative, but there are alot of concepts explained.

enjoy
