Kravenwolf's 2009 GCS Addititions

I figured I might as well start up my own GCS thread, since other featured artists have theirs floating around here somewhere

Anyway, I'll be posting screenshots of every model here as I upload them to my account from this point forward. And as always, I am open to suggestions.

Oo. The cage reminds me of Haunting Ground for some reason, even though it doesn't look anything like the cages in the game. I think it just has the same eerie aura. It's definitely got great atmosphere!

Your error is my treasure. =^--^=

I really like your style!

Are the cages awaiting approval?

I just "purchased" about 1700 points of your stuff but I still have beta points left over. Sorry about that- I'll email you something as compensation and I'll be sure to rate too.

Is the brown grass (segment floor) shown in the pics available somewhere?

@ Errant, thanks! I'm going to submit the cages today (was waiting for the weekend to end), so they should be up by Wednesday or Thursday. I haven't uploaded any segments as of yet, but I'll most likely start doing that sometime this week as well.

It's in quotes because I didn't use my own money/points; I used TGC's (left over from GCS beta test)

Nah... I have something better which I know you want

Great quality BTW! The gazeebo and barn (edit- just realized I have a different barn than in this thread. The one you show here looks great!) have a couple sticky spots but I'm not blaming you for that. The cabin and shed have been wonderfully snag-free and I really like how they are assembled from multiple parts. Gives great flexibility to the media. I'll be using most of the stuff in my next video- already have a cool scene put together

Thanks! Well I made them multiple parts for two reasons. The first is flexibility, as you mentioned. Allowing someone to make a cabin with or without a roof, with or without a floor, and etc. The other reason is for texture quality. By making the pieces seperate, their resolution is better than it would have been if I would have mapped everything onto one texture. Looking forward to seeing your next video!

Hey Kravenwolf, I can't find your torture cages in the store
Also after buying your zombie swamp catwalks, the one named 'catwalk' doesn't show a model when placing it in the editor. It's jsut a white circular ball.

And a suggestion: A corner catwalk that doesn't have railings

@knxrb, I have to reupload the cages and the barn today. But since they're not approved during the weekends, they probably won't hit the store until Wednesday.

The entity entitiled 'catwalk', isn't an entity. It's just the .bmp and .fpe files needed to upload more than one model in a zip file to the store. It can be deleted.

Sorry for the rather large bump, but I have something to say.

All of these really have a large price tag. Individually they make sense, but when considering to buy them all to make a game using them, it ends up being very expensive. I can't really afford to buy more than 500 points every time something cool pops up in the GCS.

You'll probably get a buy from me shortly but please keep this in mind as most of the inhabitants of these boards are teenagers and really can't afford to buy these kinds of things in a large amount.

PS: Maybe you could consider a large pack? Price it at twenty dollars and have it include the shacks, barn and catwalks.

@Toasty Fresh, Of course I try to be reasonable when pricing media for TGC Store, but if I were to go any lower with the prices, it wouldn't be worth my efforts after TGC pulls out their 50% . However, I have already decided to make sure that everyone will be able to purchase the entire zombie swamp collection from my store account for no more than a total of $20.00, as if it were a model pack.

Sweet! Fine work as always Kravenwolf. I've bought nearly everything you have in the store, ( I was lucky enough to grab the playground stuff when you had it up for free a while back) and it's all top shelf my friend.

I checked the store this morning, but they still don't have the cage, or health items up yet. But rest assured, I'll grab them as well as soon as they're up.

Thanks bro, keep 'em coming!

Thank you so much Kravenwolf! I was a huge fan of your Training Grounds and Nazi Zombies games. Now I'm a huge fan of your models! I bought 2000 Store points just to buy the cabin, shed, and training grounds pieces you released. I also love the free media you released a little while back, and I hope you release a lot more great media, both free and paid!

Keep up the good work... Please!

Oh, and by the way, what texture and modeling program do you use? I used Genetica and Paint.Net and hated both of 'em but I use AC3D and it's pretty good. I'd really like to know, thanks.

@Cosmic Prophet, thanks for your kind words and all of your support! I should have the cages and some of the first aid items uploaded to the store later tonight. I wanted to get the Zombie Swamp models uploaded before anything else.

@PW Productions Manager, Thanks! And I'm glad you like my work. I use Blender 2.48 for modeling, and GIMP 2 for texturing (both free).

Splendid work as always man, your modelling style is very unique from things we see around here, which is a fantastic thing! As soon as I have some points I'm getting the swamp media, as well as the cages and medic supplies for sure. The medical items will add a great depth in gameplay for all those who purchase and use 'em.

Keep it up man, looking forward to your future creations

Cheers

Sweet, thats what I use but my models are no where near as good as yours haha. Need to get back modeling and texturing but I've been to busy. Anyways, can't wait to see more.

::one month bump::

Started work on the Asylum model pack again, and already have five or six models uploaded to the store and awaiting approval.

@Gorlocks suggestions, I use phototextures from cgtextures as a base, and then rework them in GIMP. It's save so much time, and looks more realistic than creating textures from scratch.

@Thanks guys.

@General Jackson, maybe sometime in the near future I'll start up a WIP thread for some of my 'Silent Hill inspired' creatures, and zombies. I'd like to have a nice selection of horror characters in the store by sometime next year. But, I'm still learning how to animate in Milkshape (since I can't get Blender animations into FPSC ). Which is also why I don't have any new updates on the WW2 weapons I've been working on.

Cyborg Art was kind enough to give me a detailed tutorial for rigging, which I've been looking at here and there. And Ply gave me a few lessons as well But, with everything else, it will probably be a little while before I can really sit down and play around with Milkshape.
