it's a long time i've completed a game, about 6 years... lots of experiments and unfinished project.
now this is looking good,
lots of ships, fleet control, etc etc, all with native dbpro, no extras.

next

well, game engine is 100% complete, also completed the solar system planets and satellites, earth fleet nearby completed (12 combat ships and 5 civil ships), just some other civil ships and some space station, i've to make the enemy (some lurking alien race) and neutral guests, design the story (missions) and frontends, plus some skirmish mode. Well, old school space game.
some effect: smoke when damaged, debris, lights on fire and for engine, not to much things but nice.
chers.

This looks really cool, I like the ship designs especially. Do you have a gameplay video?

sorry, no demo or gameplay, only a test situation with 15 enemy ships, 5 allied gunships, some civil ships, with no mission.
just wait for 3 mission to go and a frontend, i'll upload a demo.
Totally freeware and with all media and sourcecode.

Very retro look! Yes, i like the mecadesign of the old Leji Matsumoto, Capitan Harlock, Space battleship Yamato and so on.

again, sorry i'm here with only two shots.....

well, it's a SPACE CHAMPAGNE CORK, not a normal cork...
Mechadesign is a bit odd, i see.

thanks! thanks!

i was left for a long time, making unfinished projects but good experiments of coding, now this have a good action, run fast, command strategy, and incredible my girlfriend like to play it.
i must say... i use only the half of dbpro power, because my code is very easy and green.. no 3d math, no advanced collisions... nothing of nothing... i think the same code can run on c64 basic 1.3, just insert linenumber...

Gran vero capolavoro Ermes!

Well, I'm working on a space sim too for a long time now...
But the graphics and gameplay are more like Homeworld Cataclysm you know...In a way, it will be a vintage stuff now...
Here a simple screen, whith some ships messing around. No backdrop.

Hope you will finish your game

Darkbasic is great !

I love the style. The ship designs remind me of the Yamamoto series.

thanks, now i'm redesigning ships for more details and add some light flare effects on hull, added a new nice starscape with nebulaes and working to complete the Earth forces.
i hope i'll finish the game before my inspiration give up!!!
BTW, i can say this game is really polished and smooth, and easy to play, controls, camera, display, all working very good.
Stay tuned!!!
