***Download and unpack in the order they appear here to allow for any fixes and changes to take place, or you may get errors.

I was mucking about making a few bits for my game and thought maybe others could find a use for them?

Everything is interchangeable and takes a single grid square. So you can fit it all how you like to get the layout you want. The two tunnel/sewer pipe sections must be fitted inside a room segment (like the one supplied) or you will get gfx glitches (you will know if you try)

Anyway if they are of use then cool.

Oh and no restrictions, do as you wish with them (see note in readme).

I have added a few more bits to the pack, as well as changed a lot of the existing pack here and there, so have updated a new download.

Just added a few pipes, cable system, bulkheads (lights), steps
and doors etc etc that I thought may go well in a sewer
(tunnel/corridor?).

In case the attachment did not work http://www.dcforums.org.uk/fpsc/Sewer_Pack1.rar (6.75mb)

New bits
Here are some more bits n bobs (trapdoors, spiral stairs and some holes lol)
http://www.dcforums.org.uk/fpsc/NewSewerBits.rar (7.5mb)

A few more bits
Some curb stones for the sidewalks, wood platforms, bridges, pillar (for the ceiling XR), portcullis, bars etc.

http://www.dcforums.org.uk/fpsc/NewSewerBits2.rar (2.5mb)

A pretty big update this time There is far too much to take pictures of.
More than just sewer stuff this time round, with room, floors, some special door and floor entrances (you will see what I mean), a stone variation on the sewer set, some fixes, enhancements and this:

http://www.dcforums.org.uk/fpsc/NewSewerBits3.rar (21.3mb)

A Few fixes
I got an e-mail informing me of 3 missing meshes and an incorrect .fpe, So I have uploaded the missing files and fixed .fpe here:
http://www.dcforums.org.uk/fpsc/SewerPack_Fixes.rar

ehh-- i cant get them to work-- i installed them into each different bank-- but they didnt work-- you might want to put these into an installer with pre-fixed directories so we can just install it and not worry about figuring out how to get these to work without illegal mesh line number or some other crap lol--

other than that problem-- the screenshots shows a great creepy feeling-- and i would like to gethese to work so they could eventually be inserted into one of the episodes of 24 hours

Everything was already in the correct folders (directories), all you had to do was drag the main folders into your "\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Files" folder and agree to let it overwrite. Then everything would be installed correctly in the correct folders and sub folders etc.

I suppose I should have included a little installation readme, but it seemed the way most do it from what I have downloaded, so I guessed everyone knew?

Well I will may release some more stuff to go with these bits, so will included a little readme on how to install.

its all good-- have a problem with the meshes all the time when i sample other peoples work too-- i dont know why its not recognizing the correct directories -- i extracted the folders to the corresponding folders but i got the error - otherwise these are magnificent

I get an error when using the sewer pipe punch - probably because the fps file inlcudes this line "meshbank\Cutter- NEXT LEVEL\Fake.x" whereas there is no such directory in the meshbank

EDIT: that was only in the old download - I just realized you further enhanced the pack, downloaded it, checked it and the new file has another line

DOUBLEEDIT: I built a small level and have to say its absolute FANTASTIC. The only thing I dont like is the texture but that is the easiest to change - otherwise its full of eytraordinary usefull stuff. The ladders complete with an invisible ramp and matching sound, the cables, lights and that AWESOME *magic* door!

Cant thank you enough for the inspiration alone your pack gave me

Yeah I did not really understand how punches worked in FPSc, so checked out holez and cutter and left that line in

As to the crap textures, I fully agree with you, as I for one cannot texture to save my life, but as you said it's easy to re-texture.

I'm glad you can find a use for it and will be adding a few more things sometime soon. Glad you liked the magic door lol

The next stuff will be ways into the sewers/tunnels - trapdoors, spiral stairs and a few more additions to the sewer system.

Edit: New stuff uploaded and link in 1st post (at the bottom)

I just included your new stuff into my test level and its simply so much FUN to work with it. climbing ladders, jumping through trapdoors or running up and down a 4-storey high spiral staircase

There are just 2 small glitches which everyone will easily be able so sort out himself.

1. Some of the sewer pipe segments have this line in the texture field:
segments\Nbt\Sewer\SewerWallsGreen.dds
this must be changed to:
segments\Nbt\Sewer\SewerWallsGreen_D2.dds

2. The trapdoors should be set to the "usedoor" instead of "autodoor" script, otherwise its impossible to get through from below.

I still can't thank you enough for your work. Since I am mostly into fantasy the *magic* door, the trapdoors and the spiral staircase are things I always wanted but couldnt find anywhere so far. also the cables, switches, pipes, ladders and steps are a welcome addition to any bunker level. And that invisible ramp you thoughtfully added, solved a lot of the problems I had with some builds so far.

Have a on the house!

Thanks for the heads up on the missing "_D2" on the two sewer pipe segments. As to the trapdoors and autodoor from below, I use an autodoor script that stays open, so never thought about that lol

I have updated all the archives with the fixes for pipe textures and the door scripts.

If you have any ideas of what you think should be included in my next update, let me know. As I'm pretty much just making bits as and when I need them for projects.

p.s. I just read your sig and to be honest from reading your replies your English is perfect. Better than mine and I am English lol

since you offered to make more....

The ceiling segment for crossroads could be used to generate a cool room - but the one thing missing is a matching column:

And the only thing missing to make that (crawlable) canal perfect are some bars (so no one can crawl through):

A very, VERY big thank you for these, I've now replaced the street for my game "he is coming" with yours, I've also been looking for a trapdoor, which you have now kindly provided (one note here is that because you have the open trap door slightly tilted back it half disappears into a wall if it's next to it). I'm looking to use your sewer system for a level in the game.

Well done!

Quote: "And the only thing missing to make that (crawlable) canal perfect are some bars (so no one can crawl through):"

Can you not just put a normal chain/metal fence over and move it back slightly so it only appears in the actual pipe section?

I've just noticed (and it may be just me) that the bricks in the walls of the sewers are running vertical, shouldn't they be running horizontal as bricks normally do?

@The Storyteller 01 Will rustle you up some ceiling supports (columns) and bars/gates to block off the crawl space and other places. Maybe a portcullis that spans a segment and ceiling arch, as your making a fantasy/medieval style game. As well as some bridges and low walls in case you wanting to make a catacomb/dungeon level.

@Nickydude Yeah I rotated the texture by 90 degrees, as it looked better for what I was doing at the time. It's easy to rotate is back 90 if you like the bricks facing right.

Please find a replacement trapdoor mesh that does not hinge back so far http://www.dcforums.org.uk/fpsc/Trapdoor_SingleDoor_nickydude.rar (just remove the "_nickydude" bit and overwrite the existing one)

If you need any bits for your game let me know and I will see what I can do (I should really make some curb stones for the paving, as they look stupid)
